Those new stangs are the real deal. I went for a test drive in Lideo's, owner of Alternative Auto Performancehere in Michigan yesterday, and with just a tune it was a rocket. He went 13.23@108 bone stock. With the tune he is shooting for 12.80's in the 111mph range. I don't know how well the auto Camaro's respond, but those stang are crazy fast with a tune. If I was buying now I think the 5 liter may have made me swing for the other team. As for the interior, I was not as impressed as I thought I was going to be based on mag pics. Though I don't care for the styling of the camaro's interior 100%, I actually felt that the materials were nicer and that it had a tighter feel than the Mustang. Just my 2 cents.

The L99s make excellent improvements with a tune (better than the LS3s). The biggest difference is the under the curve (3000 - 5000 rpm range) torque increase. My L99 ran consistant 12.9s @ 109 mph (tune only).

I never ran my L99 bone stock, but my guess is it would have run 13.3s or so.

Unbelievable???? and who said I was selling my car? If you knew me personally, you would know I am not biased to one make or model. I have owned a half doezen Mustangs, 2 Camaros, 1 Trans ams, and several Corvettes, my last being an 06 zo6. My only rule is AMERICAN. When I bought last year, along with many others here, there was not much competition in the market I was looking. Unless I wanted an under powered stang or an over priced dodge. I'm sure a lot of people have thought twice now before jumping into the camaro right now because we actually have some real competition for a comparible price.

By the way...what do my kahunas have to do with the post? Are you interested in them? If so, wrong forum.

i was at edgewater raceway park yesterday and spotted a new mustang gt, so i went to take a look at it right before it ran, just to see if it was stick or auto(just incase it ran a horrible time,so i could blame it on terrible stick driver)well it was an auto and ran a 14.18. i was hot but sure would have thought of a better time than that after hearing the hep on the mustang.

It is interesting all discussions on comparisons are all about drag racing. No mention of any other type of tracking.

Yeah, that's because the majority of owners drag race their cars vs road race.

When you have people jawjacking as to who's car is faster, they don't say I'll meet you on the road course.
