Funny related story (sorry to be off-topic): a friend of mine works on cars. He said that this woman brought her car to him because it was making a weird noise after being repaired by her regular mechanic (who apparently she bugged the crap out of). He test drove it and heard where the noise was coming from. He ended have to tear apart the back seat and trunk and found a glass bottle that the previous mechanic "accidentially" left in there when fixing the car.

I believe it. You'd be surprised at the things that would happen at the Chevy dealer I worked at.

Best story...One tech that worked next to me had some new Chevy sedan, and the customer complained of a rattle in the front fender area.

My buddy worked on that car for DAYS! Finally, we removed the entire driver's front fender assembly, and there IT was.

An empty soda can, hanging by a coat hanger, just so it would rattle to no end.

Had a little note attached: "You finally found it, didn't you!" Assembly line revenge.

They also did stuff like, not greasing the front ends of thousands of Caprices, so they wore out the ENTIRE front end in a few HUNDRED miles. Some pissed off assembly workers!

The fish and chicken I can't be specific about - trade secret.

I don't know how police are in your area, but police in my area are FANATIC about community involvement. I'd be willing to bet if you called the police community liason officer for your area and asked for advice on how to best use a radar to accomplish your goals, you'd get an officer over to show you how to use the police radar and such. The officer that connects with your local neighborhood watch would be a good person to talk to as well.

My son's a cub scout and we interact with the local police and fire departments alot. You can have a cop go from cranky and dour to happy and loving life again after about 1 minute of showing kids their toys.

This would be the RIGHT way to shut the neighbor up.
