Car owners with xm watch out.

My mom had 6 months of xm on her car and it was going to expire soon so xm called and asked if we wanted 3 more months for 21 bucks, we said yes. so my mom realizes its been about three months and xm billed us 385 dollars. My mom called them and they claimed we agreed for 3 years of xm. We did not! so we got our refund but they justed charged us for 3 years and we didnt even clarify it!

I recently had a similar experience...I called prior to my new car's free trial running out and wanted to add it to my existing account that has our other cars on it. We pay by the year, but the person kept giving me conflicting amounts it would be, so I told her to bill me (so I could see in writing how much, and why). I did not provide my credit card information and stressed for her to send a bill. Then a few days later while paying my credit card realized they had charged my card over $200-way more than one year for a third car! They had my credit card infomation on file and chanrged me without authorization-which is illegal. I had to call three times to get it fixed. They had charged a variety of "fees" etc. All was corrected but what a hassle! They had been fine for years, but maybe it's the merger?

Doesn't surprise me one bit. I'm so ticked off with XM right now that they'll be getting a call from me soon and I'm canceling my subscription. The whole merger between XM and Sirius whiped out half the stations that I liked...

Well this confirms my decision to go with HD radio and not satellite.

They are just doing a reconfiguration and most of those stations will be back in Jan. I wasn't very happy when they got rid of the Boneyard, but it will be back. The only thing that pisses me off is that I have to pay extra to get the NASCAR channel back.
