Kona Blue is a very nice color. It is not captured very well in the pics but it is has a deep blue metallic look. At night it is almost black. In the day when the sun is out it has a bright blue look. Very cool.

Well, it would be pretty hard to have 12 valves in an 8 cylinder...

what excuses do the Camaro guys use when they run 13s in their (should be) 12 second cars?

I think his point is:

A lot of Mustang guys like to say the Mustang GT is an easy 12 sec car, while the Camaro SS is really a low 13 sec car. They base their information on the fastest times they can find for the Mustang while ignoring the magazines that have the Mustang running 13s.

I get three major magazines (Road and Track, Car and Driver, Motor Trend). I also get a several smaller mags like GM High Performance, etc.
But based on just the three major magazines that I get in the mail, the Camaro SS is the faster car (2 out of 3 wins).

Road and Track - Camaro SS ran faster than the Mustang GT
Car and Driver - Camaro SS ran faster than the Mustang GT
Motor Trend - Mustang GT ran faster than the Camaro SS

We all know the Mustang GT and the Camaro SS are capable of mid to high 12s with the right driver. My feeling is same day, same track, same level of driving skill, the cars are pretty much even. The Camaro seems to be a little more difficult to launch. It seems like a lot of Camaro owners are running slow 60' times and that's why they can't get their times down where they should be.

Also, those saying the Mustang reponds better to mods are possibly missing an important point. If a CAI gives both cars a 10HP bump, it benefits the lighter car more, because it's a higher percetage of the power to weight ratio. It's not responding better to mods, there's simply less car for the extra HP to move. If your objective is straight line performance, the lighter car has an advantage that takes more power to overcome. The new 5.0 finally brings the Mustang up to par with the Camaro. It'll beat it in some races, it'll lose in others.

cummins makes alot of motors. i mean on up to a 16 cylinder the size of a camaro. up until 1998.5 in dodge trucks they were 12. my f-100 has the same motor. the 12valve is the most sought after of them all for its mechanical controls vs the newer ones electronics. the newer vp44 has its limits too.

I dont think they are ugly at all. They look very good IMO.

I prefer the looks of the Camaro, but that doesn't make the stang an ugly car
