Keep it stock if you're bench racing, because once the cars are modified,it's whoever has the bigger checkbook wins.

From who? You? Does a Shelby or ZR1 owner care what you think? Does a 911 Turbo owner feel bad if a N/A Camaro owner turns his nose up. I think not. Is this "respect" from the same unseen, unknown unwritten rule writer that determines that car A is better than car B.
Chasing ghosts. You're not right and you're not wrong, but THERE ARE NO RULES,that's why the car hobby is freakin awesome,a GTI or Scion or Rabbit diesel owner is just as much a car guy as a SS owner and a supercharged engine kicks as much ass as a N/A engine. You gonna start mouthing off at ram air pontiac owners next? " Hey,hey, you're getting alittle extra air in there, that's cheating!"

Wow, 700rwhp, that's just a little less than what my daily driver GT500 puts out right now. And by now I mean, today, here and now, not some imagined point in the future. Will there be Camaro's that put out more power? Sure. I'll probably be one of their owners, when that time comes.

No, you read it correctly, but that signature was about 9 months old. The 618rwhp was what it made with the 3.25" upper pulley on the car and the out-of-the-box Kenne Bell "street" tune. The current signature reflects the power level with a 3" upper pulley and custom 93 octane tune on the car. It makes a little more than that on the 93 octane "shootout" tune.

Here's a vid of the car running at Beech Bend this past summer sans the custom tune.(~680rwhp)

I said 700+ rwhp don't miss quote me and that's low balling it with 430 NA HP from the factory the gt500 won't be able to keep up 1000+ rwhp could be possible with some serious mods depending on how much a person wants to spend lol either way the shelbys will get killed either on straights or on the track say good bye to your over hyped primitive car cause theres a new SHERIFF IN TOWN

The SS might be superior in some ways, and in some ways it won't be,as a mostly Ford guy,i think i can live with that,it's not like either would be an embarassing site in my garage. With a combined HP of around 900,for just two cars,we truly are living in the best pony car era ever. Win-win for everyone, even though the Shelby is cooler looking.
If you read my last few posts you would know why I have abandoned Ford , now as for personal insults they are not allowed on this Forum or any other Forum I am a member of and the Moderator will have you banned form this site , don't you know the rules?? We can talk smack all day about which car is better SS of course but the line gets drawn when you personally insult people , get a life buddy and grow up

I'm not sure how you guys do math there in Canada, but here in the States, 710rwhp is more than 700, so I'm pretty sure my reference is applicable.

When the "new sheriff" gets to town (which it hasn't yet and won't for several months) then we'll get to see what they can do, both in stock form and modified form. I have no doubts we will see some very high horsepower Camaro's out on the streets in a short amount of time, and I personally cannot wait to see them strut their stuff.

On a completely unrealted note, you might want to brush up on your grammar and punctuation skills at some point in the near future. I'd really like to know what you are saying/trying to say without having to read your posts three or four times just to figure out where one thought terminates and another begins.

Me, too! I'm pretty sure we will have no shortage of Camaro variant/Mustang variant shootouts over the course of the next few years and there will be more than a few people from both camps disappointed at the various results.

Again I SAID 700+ RWHP which is more than 700 no maybe 750 lol but not 700rwhp like you quoted me you forgot the +, oh well just forget it no sense in arguing it's a lot of HP either way you look at it and yes it will be cool to see those HIGH HP CAMAROS around

Yeah,i read your last posts.....my original opinion was right on. I guess you'll flip-flop back to Ford when they unveil the '10 GT500 and you'll go on and on about how Ford is better and then after that, you'll actually see a Camaro in person and flip-flop back to it and hate Ford again and so and so on. Psst.....let me tell you a secret...............it's okay to like both
