We had a chat room over at GMInsideNews for quite some time...unfortunately, it got waaay out of control. Combined with the old, crappy server, it soon got taken down.

gmfullsize.com has a chat room, it's kinda fun sometimes, but the software isn't great. I'd say just start an AIM chat, or use IRC.

Here, I'll set it up real easy for everyone...no AIM or any kind of registration required:
http://ronanian.googlepages.com/irc.html
Just put your own username (or anything you want) in the "Nickname" field and enjoy.

Problem solved...though it's easy and free to register with those and you don't have to talk to anyone else.

while it would be nice, it would detract from the site. tho I have seen some forums with a "IM message board" on the main page, not really used as a full blow IM, but just for smaller conversations between close membes to save on inbox space.

ive got MSN, yahoo, AOL, AFCHAT, and a couple others.... add me if you wish... its all on my contact list

Won't be anyone in there unless you share some info about how to get there.

ps I hesitated to click that link, there's a RickRoll epidemic out there. lol
Link is safe. I don't do any RickRolling, despite my name being Rick. The link is just to a page that logs you in to web-based IRC client and is configured for EFNET channel #Camaro5.

I wouldn't even know how to work an IM thingy anymore...it's been light years since I touched one. They are such resource hogs and annoying as hell.

I refuse to use any IM service's program. I use Pidgin, which is far less offensive and lets me use one program for a bunch of IM services.
