Yes, the Camaro's interior is indeed the perfect muscle car interior. Oh, and I don't smoke.

A little off topic, but the Shelby that makes the Ultimate Aero is not Carroll Shelby, but Jerod Shelby. The two are not related and neither are their companies.

Per Dragoneye's instructions, I have fixed that for you.

There's nothing wrong with Mustangs. If you like them. However, I think they're a bit too ugly and always have been. Just something about them doesn't feel or look right to me. The engine compartment is pretty ugly. But that's just my opinion. Which I'm entitled to. I'm just glad the war is on again!

I do agree it's pointless to argue. We all know which is the better car. Hence why we're here.

Cool. I don't either. And I'll be sure to self police when it comes to stating my opinions.

Bottom line is they are both great cars. I prefer my 2SS but wouldn't mind if I had a new 5.0 in the stable as well. Like I said earlier, I'm just glad the automakers are back in the business of muscle cars. Driving is fun again!

Today i test drove a 2011 Roush stage 2, which is essentially a 5.0 with a body kit and some suspension kit....then the usual roush goodies inside.

i called the dealer looking to do some research on some suspension and brake goodies i am putting on my car in the coming weeks and the guy on the phone said: "just come on in and test drive a car, that is the only way you can get a feel for these roush parts." well i went in, brought my dad (muscle cars bring out the teenager in him), and told the salesman what my plans were. The salesman acknowledged but said i couldn't test drive the 2010 427r because i am only 20 and he thought it would be too much power for me...... so he offered to get the keys to a non supercharged 2011 Stage 2................. i couldnt help but fail to point out that the car had the new 5.0 with almost identical hp to the 427r.

well the car itself.... well.....meh. i felt roush destroyed the shifter feel with the short throw kit that they put on it, and the clutch feel was a little foreign. the power difference between the 5.0 and my little 4.6 is definitely there, but only in the higher RPM's. I got into the car expecting a whole nother BEAST, but was sorely disappointed.

Interesting....I will say the difference between my 2011 GT and my wife's old 2010 GT with a drop in K&N and axle back was very noticeable. Both have/had the 3.73. The 2010 is just not comparable. Night and day.

I looked at getting the wife a new 5.0. I've driven it and it wasn't bad. I think the interior (dash) on the Mustang was a tad better as far as flash, but no better in function. I have to say that I like the options for the fiber optic colors and locations of all the light accents. The wife thinks the Mustangs seats are a tad more comfortable, I do not. I can't honestly say I saw a difference in the 2011 and the 2010.

I'm not a fan of the huge plastic engine cover on the 5.0. I think the Camaro's has a nicer looking engine compartment. The additional 1.2L's don't hurt either.

Plus, the lines on the Camaro are more appealing to me as well. The rear of the Mustang is just God Awful. It's like they have run out of original ideas and desided to just stretch the back out and call it a day. (Yes, I realize that there are other changes, again the 2011 looks just like the 2010)

Alas the Mustang was written off.

There are very few exterior changes between the 2010 and 2011. They are essentially the same in appearance.

you traded in your SS?!?

I know that there is a huge difference, there is 100 hp between the two after all. but i was expecting......more.
it is definitely a difference i will match once i bolt on my supercharger later in the summer (good for about 450-475 to the wheels).

don't bet what you don't have.

what you guys need to do is sell your old azz Gt's and buy a new 5.0.
So go find the weights of a 5.0 and an ls3, then come back. Do you not understand the difference between DOHC and OHV?
