If you want to talk like that, go over to Camaroz28.com. Everyone is on this website because they love the new Camaro - even if they also own a Shelby Mustang.

You can have a favorite car and not be ignorant about the appeal of others.

Unfortunately, you have ones like that in every crowd thinking that by putting down someone else (or their choice of automobile) that it somehow makes them (or their car) better. Funny thing is, those types of people rarely, if ever, have anything to offer other than a few lame comments about something they have no first-hand knowledge of.

It's too bad the Mustang comes with a SRA, I mean, they are at such a disadvantage on the track:

Quote:
FORD MUSTANGS CLINCH ROAD RACING CHAMPIONSHIPS IN NORTH AMERICA AND EUROPE DEARBORN, Mich., Oct. 8, 2008 – Two series, two continents, two titles. Ford Mustang fans around the world celebrated last weekend's accomplishments as America's original pony car wrapped up road racing championships in North America and Europe.

"Clearly this is a moment of pride and excitement," said Jamie Allison, manager of the Ford Performance Group. "This is validation for a great car that's been out since 2005 and continues to perform at the highest level in this elite series."

"Winning the championship was an amazing thing," said Foster. "It's something Hyper Sport hasn't done before, and team owner Patrick Dempsey and Rick Skelton, the partners in the team haven't either. I know Patrick, on the set of Grey's Anatomy, was watching online all day. Personally, it's the culmination of a lot of hard work by about 100 people sharing in this."

Foster and Maxwell weren't the only Mustang drivers to enjoy success during the season. The Mustang FR500C dominated as five other Mustang teams finished in the top eight spots in the standings. Bret Seafuse and James Gue finished second in the standings after a season that included five top-five finishes and eight top-10s.

In Europe, Eric de Doncker finished out the GT4 European Cup season and won his second consecutive series championship in his No. 1 Mustang FR500GT4 against competition from large sports car brands such as Aston Martin, Nissan, BMW and Porsche. The FR500GT4 is a FR500C with minor adjustments to meet the GT4 European Cup series specifications. De Doncker and his FR500GT4 have dominated the series' first two seasons tallying a total of eight wins and 24 podium appearances through 27 total races. Through 17 races this season alone, de Doncker made his way into Victory Lane four times and finished in the top three a total of 14 times.

"This season has been very good, with tough competition, but we've achieved our goal once more," said de Doncker. "I have to thank my team for all the hard work they did to get us here again. We've had an excellent car that was built to win.

"I'm happy for the team and for Ford as well.
Oh, and by the way, I have the same FRPP 3-way adjustable coil-overs and adjustable anti-roll bar setup featured on the FR500C on my Shelby.

Before everyone gets bent out of shape here....let me remind everyone of something.

We respect each other on this site.

GM and Ford owners have always had fun poking a little fun at each other here and there. But, it is all IN FUN. The stuff I read above was taken seriously.

Ease up. I, for one, respect the Mustang and think it is a pretty good looking car. If you don't agree, no prob. But, believe it or not, we have a bunch of Mustang owners here on the boards. So what if they are driving a Mustang. They are here and WANT a Camaro! Personally, I'd love to have one of all three. Unfortunately, there is far too little money in my bank account to get me there.

We are not here to bash Mustangs or Challengers. Please...let's have some respect for one another. I love to read why one is better than the other, but to call each others cars junk is getting into the realm of simply being rude.

Like Hylton said, if you want to be rude, take your comments 'elsewhere.' Take them to PMs or something. Please, leave them off the boards.

Thanks to all.

Your right tag, but sometimes it just grabs you and you have to defend your passion when some degenerate talks bad about it, but we could control ourselves, tag i've seen you rant about mustangs and challengers also.

I just stated my honest opinion and I was not getting personal I just degraded the Shelby because it SHOULD HAVE IRS comon do we still live in the stone age with this ancient technology FORD is pushing , don't get me wrong I respect the Shelby name and it's history in fact I use to own a 05 Mustang GT but sold it due to it's lack of sophistication , I liked how it looked though hell I like the way a Shelby looks even better but again primitive is the word that comes to mind . Through these posts and others like minded we hope to send Ford a message to GET WITH THE TIMES and upgrade there vehicles to compete with the competition or they WILL BE LEFT BEHIND even the Challenger has IRS , it's a bit obese lol but at least it handles good eh , I certainly would not buy another Ford product in the near future but hey Ford has hinted at a all new MUSTANG in 2012 let's hope they do it right this time

It's actually a very ingenious marketing ploy. The car will sell a lot of units in 2010 just because of the new body style, and then in 2011 release new engines to attract purists and other on-the-fence buyers. This way it's like they'll have a brand-new model 2 years in a row.
