I have a 1976 Cadillac. Not a lot of miles on it, but still 30+ years old. It still runs well and rides better than any other car I have ever ridden in.

My neighbors bought my old 1997 Saturn SL1 from me. It has over 200k miles by now and no complaints. I fell in love with the Ecotec engine's durability with that car.

Oh yeah I forgot I have a 74 camaro. I'm not the original owner so I'm not sure how many times the odometer has gone over 99,999. But right now it reads 45,000. Still all original parts. Of course with regular maintanence.

1998 GMC Sierra - My father hit a deer going 80, after that drove it around with little to no oil pressure for about five years (plowing driveways and hauling firewood, trailers, etc. might I add), and it finally burned to the ground with 450k miles.

My 78 had over 200k on it. 3 colors of primer and bondo. A blue Z28 front bumper. Doors sealed shut so you had to jump up and slide in to get in and out... etc.
They can take a lot of abuse ![]() It's gonna leak something and have defects that GM will ignore but that's part of all GM products it comes with the turf. (death cool / optispark / oil leaks etc..) Hey I can joke about them because I have had to fix it. Which makes a good side hobby. They are easy to work on and this 5th gen will last forever if taken proper care of. |

Dex Cool is far more effective than most people seem to think. Most vehicles come with it from the factory anyways. That myth needs to stop.

Ok my list:
91 Geo Storm: 250,000+ miles then blew its head 91 Chevy Corsica: 169,000 never had a problem...until i drove it into the back of a street sweeper. 99 Pontiac Grand Am GT1: 180,000 + miles, I then had to have the thermostat changed (the damn thing is below the engine block) Midas broke the head.... so yeah. I've loved all my GM cars. |

This thread reminded me....
Keep EVERYTHING documented on your new Camaros! There's nothing like being able to hand over all your information to a new buyer (if you ever have to sell) and be able to say how many oil changes it got, when, at what miles, what parts (if any) ever had to be replaced, etc. Keep it all documented!!! |

Camaro fan since birth

My family has an 83 Camaro that hasn't been driven since we bought our "new" Camaro in 1995. Last summer, I plugged a battery charger up to the 83, and after a couple of cranks, it started right up. With a new starter, it started very well for having 12 year old oil and gas in it. Not bad for a worn out 305 with over 150k miles.

Well got about 150K miles on my Saab 9-5 '99 and it still runs great. Always starts and still has great kick in it for a 4-cylinder. Only thing is that's it's starting to rust a bit and the suspsension quite worn, but still. Going to be tough when I have to part with it, I love it to death.
