Hah budget supercar!
Use it under warranty and it performs like a 30-40k sports coupe.
Use it like a supercar and you don't get a warranty.
Read up a bit and really I'm starting to think the GT-R is just a big ol scam, and not just because of this one issue either.

The original post was taken from a Nissan site and was reposted by one of our members. To my knowledge, nobody on this site owns (or has owned) an R35 GT-R. Also, this thread has been dead for over a year and a half.

One of the reasons why I'm afraid to buy a used GT-R is precisely because the previous guy probably turned off VDM and maybe doesn't want to keep the car any more because he got spooked about warranty.
