isn't the hummer dead??, or are you getting a used one?

if you get one i suggest getting the alpha cause that 5 cylinder one is a Turtle.
Or better yet get an FJ Cruiser. I had one for 3 years and not a single visit to the dealer. plus that 4.0 V6 has a lot of power.

Yes it will be used and yes the wife was looking at Alphas. Are they known to have a lot of problems. I'm nervous buying into a dead brand.

IMO its always a bad idea to buy a dead brand car, Look at the Daewos...

Im personally not that familiar with the H3 other than the information i got when i was in a FJ cruiser forum, witch it was totally bias as you can imagine.
It wont hurt to lurk around an H3 forum to see what the deal is.

Wow, 55k could buy you a lifted, supercharged FJ Cruiser and still have like 15K in the bank. I think that's one of the thinks that went wrong with Hummer, they where always overpriced.

Thanks for the advice. I'll check out some forums. Dead brands and parts issues could turn around and bite me but the wife wants what the wife wants.

My parents have an H2 and we know some people that have an H3. Long story short... H2 > H3.

LMAO....Exactly

My wife just likes the BIG truck look without the BIG truck. Plus she wants to downgrade from her Jeep commander because it has the worst MPGs of any vehicle I have ever owned in my entire life. It is just horrible on gas and that is an understatement.

LOL...Jeep's not even making the gas sucking-shoe box looking Commander anymore.

Should be able to get a new(ly) 2010 H3 or Alpha at a decent price.
Not too many people are going to be running out to buy a vehicle, that had it's lifeline cut-off.
