Whew, I called my salesperson @ AT&T and she said my order went in at 4:00pm, I'm hoping for the 24th. She said that her manager got an e-mail from AT&T that stated the 4:30pm rumor was not true and AT&T has plenty to fulfill the orders for the 24th. Let's hope that's true.

I think you meant to say all preorders from this point forward will ship on July 14th, not all preorders in general. Apple burned through their allotment for the 24th, then burned through their allotment for 7/2, now we're looking at 7/14.

That is not how I read it. This is directly from the link above.

9. There is something to be said for patience

There is something to be said for waiting for an iPhone 4. On June 16, Apple announced that those who preordered the iPhone 4 would be getting their devices on July 2. Starting June 17, those dates were pushed back to July 14. As annoying as that might be for some folks, it's not such a bad thing to wait. There should be ample supplies in stores in the coming month, and customers won't need to worry about the hassle of trying to pick up their phones in stores on June 24.

I will wait until I can walk into a store to pick one up. I waited three hours for my 3G, not doing that again. I only hope that the bluetooth works as well in the Camaro as my 3G does.
