Arrghh. Being a woman myself, I have always been a Camaro gal. The Mustang is just butt ugly to me. I wouldn't drive one if it was given to me.

Remember, the Camaro in the last article was exactly 1 TENTH of a second slower in lap time, despite the size and weight disadvantage and the supposed better handling of the mustang. That said, you missed the point of my previous post. the VAST majority of all mustangs will be daily drivers, not drag racers NOR track runners. They will be used to commute to and from work, weekend activities and take out on joyrides. Live axles simply can't absorb potholes, train track crossings, uneven pavement, etc. that most drivers will have to contend with everyday. That has nothing to do with the twisties, switchbacks or 1320s.

Actually no, it doesn't. J1349 is the standard virtually every automaker has used for their ratings since the early 1970's, and it requires a lot more than an educated guess. The new J2723 standard everybody has been talking about doesn't actually supercede the old J1349 process, it simply means that a third party is watching you when you carry that J1349 process out.
