Also, remember, it's your money until the car rolls all 4 tires onto the public street.

No sale for any reason, including changed mind, means deposit refund. Check the HI State Attorney General's website to double check HI laws, but in FL, and I think everywhere in the US, you no drive, they give back money. Credit card could reverse charges for services, merch. not received.

And yes, I have had to educate the evil aholes at a dealer about this - crooks. Got my money back though.
So a credit card? How about debit?

i'd say put down minimum deposit now & when the car comes in, give the rest of what you can as a down payment. in the mean time, put the down money in a separate interest-bearing bank account.

idk if you saw I added that $500 is the min. deposit.

Credit is better, but debit will work.

The thing is, they will take that money right out of your bank acct.

You're down the cash, and if you dispute, the banks require 30 or more days to investigate.

Now, Amex, for example, I reversed some charges, and they credited my card instantly, and then they investigate. No delay, better service, but debit is better than check or cash for sure.

That came from some comedian - a large size one. Go to chinese buffet, they say - You No come here, big boy. you need to eat the vegetable. You give wife heart attack. You go big boy, been here 4 hours!

Once, in VT, it accidentally came right out of my mouth in a china buffet "You no fill, we no pay" (Fill the food bins) My kids tried to hide...
