Use a credit card for the deposit.

Also, remember, it's your money until the car rolls all 4 tires onto the public street.

No sale for any reason, including changed mind, means deposit refund. Check the HI State Attorney General's website to double check HI laws, but in FL, and I think everywhere in the US, you no drive, they give back money. Credit card could reverse charges for services, merch. not received.

And yes, I have had to educate the evil aholes at a dealer about this - crooks. Got my money back though. Talk with the general manager if nec.
