I dunno about that. I'd WAY rather deal with the no BS down to the facts kinda sales person who doesn't try every trick in the book to get you to buy on impulse or try to screw you royaly...as opposed to the one who SEEMS nice and friendly but is only interested in making the biggest profit they possibly can.

Thats not the real reason trust me that's just what they are saying. The experience is hurting him because with that type of experience he would be a higher pay rate, so they higher someone with less experience and also more then likely out of school so they can pay them a lot less. I know I do it all the time..

If you want to get hired ANYWHERE, you need to somehow meet someone in person and introduce yourself.

DROP OFF your resume in person so that can SEE who you are. IF you are looking for a customer service job, IT DEFINITELY helps if you SHOW THEM in advance who you are. they probably would call you the next day or HIRE YOU ON THE SPOT.

IF YOU BLINDLY just send out resumes, they have NOTHING to work with. THEY NEED TO SEE IN ADVANCE if it looks like you would "fit in" at their work.

you can get hired somewhere. you have to sell yourself. Don't just sit at home waiting for the phone to ring. You can have a PHD AND AN ENGINEERING DEGREE and even those guys don't get any calls. Which is why they use headhunters and placement services.

If after they meet you, they STILL wont hire you, then repeat this same process at 100 DIFFERENT places. IF THEY STILL dont hire you, then you need to find out what is wrong.

good luck. and be advised, there are stacks of job openings for: teachers, lawyers, engineers, doctors, pharmacists, airport security, FEMA, police officers, nurses. TONS OF VERY high paying jobs that no one wants.

If i lost my job today i would go teach math. and still have a cushy job with every summer off.

Jobs EXIST. But they are only available to the people who decide to put more knowledge in their head, beyond a high school diploma.
