I bought my car because I wanted it and for no other reason. I saw it at the Dallas Auto Show and I knew I had to have it. Now, that being said, if you are single, and you can't pick up a girl driving this car there is something wrong... I cannot tell you how many people I have had shout or motion or nod or stop and stare at me in the car. Men and women, though it's admittedly nicer when it's a girl, I mean obviously guys are gonna be interested!

Ya the folks at Chevy hit a home run with this stunning piece of machinery.
My wife reads these forums as well and when she sees this cr@p she gets a little offended as well.
all I am saying is this.......enjoy the car for what it is and not what it can get you

+1

Coming from Chappelle....pretty damn funny.

But for someone to actually believe it?....wow....pretty damn pathetic.

I got my just because I liked it. The good thing is, the ladies also happen to like it. Of course, it can't compete with the expensive cars, but it does look cool. However, expensive will turn the ladies heads much faster than cool will. It's too bad they are all like that.

Older married guys, this probably doesn't apply to you guys but I respect your opinion.
I'm surprised though how many of you are acting like a girl liking your car is a bad thing.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with buying a certain car to appease women. Women are always going to want a guy who seems up and coming. moving up in the world. A brand new Camaro in many ways says that.

The fact is, you will get judged based on appearance, appearance is highly important in our culture and way of life. Would you rather date someone who lives in the ghetto or in a nice area? Would you rather date someone who acts like a bum and has no money or someone who has a job and provides for themselves?

Would you rather be with someone who has a highly unwell kept car and doesn't care at all about it or someone who has at least a car that is well kept?

We like to think material and appearance aren't that important but they really are. You WILL be judged based off what you drive. Having a nice car puts you higher up on the social food chain, at least in that category.

Understand I never said the ONLY reason you got the car was for women, I said was it a factor? Because honestly there isn't much wrong with that imo.

Like lets be honest, should a young guy in his twenties go out and buy a soccer mom minivan or a Camaro? This is the point I was trying to get at. The Chapelle quotes were admittedly more for hyperbolic amusement.

I lived Atlanta, discovering a woman had male parts is a regular risk when you go out on Saturday night...

That is YOUR opinion.

The ONLY females that have been in my car are relatives. I could CARE LESS

what women think of what I drive. I have been a car nut since I was a little

kid, way before I had any interest in females. I drive FUN cars because they

are FUN. I bought a Camaro SS LS3 because it was a BARGAIN. If I wanted

to IMPRESS women I would have bought a BMW.

My wife actually wanted it. I liked it but didnt care for it when the concept came out. I have always been a Ford man. Then the more and more i kept seeing them in magazines, and the Transformers movie( Guess the movie is whaat made me fall in love with it), I went out to get what. Glad I did. Wife put the down payment and I am making the payments, and she drives it more than me......
