Well put Zebra, God will guide you to make the right decission, I pray everyday!

I believe. God has helped and guided me through trails in my life. Something happened to me that cemented my believe and there is no doubt in my mind.

Wow I have to say I am beside myself. This is a topic that usally I would avoid like the plauge. Seeing the outpouring here and the good nature of everyone whether yes or no makes me realize why we all keep coming back here. No I do not and I do come from a religious family and upbringing. I hope your days get better man...

I am not from a religious family, or region and nor do I know anyone that does either - so I find it hard to understand what it's all about (the God figure anyway). I'm a man that believes in science and extraterestrial life and God doesn't really fit for me.
Well, if you believe that Space is Inifinite then you must conceed that are infinite copies of earth/our solar system around the universe with every possible out come of every possible situation. So on atleast one of those earths there would be a god. Even if it is just a being/group of beings that transplanted us here via panspermia. just saying....mathmatically its very very possible and possibly guaranteed.

either way i do believe in God. but i also lean very heavy on what i can quanitfy myself.

Not only do I believe in God, it's about the only thing I'm 100% sure of in life. Everyone's tried and tested. Look at Job. The main thing is to not let that falter your faith. That's exactly what the enemy wants.

Like others have said, keep the faith and everything will work out fine.

I am leaning more towards this, but still believe that there is a Prime Creator.

I too am proud of everyone here keeping this thread respectful and also cant thank you enough for your prayers. Please keep them coming cos I need every prayer I can get right now regardless of your faith or no faith.

Nice thread. I hope theres a God, I'm a little older than you and I think by this stage in life things have happened that make that question important. I've experienced a lot of odd moments in my life that make me think there's more to it than I can comprehend, not knowing can be the most depressing and overwhelming feeling imaginable. I've found that reading books written by people that have died and been revived (NDE) is very encouraging, most of them have very good experiences and are about the best source you will find concerning the answer to your question. One thing for sure, we all are going to know one day. Good luck, I'll keep you in my prayer's.
One last thing, seeing all the members of this site being here for each other, really makes my day, you folks are awesome.

No.
I have no doubt that there are bigger things out there than you and I, but i believe the idea of one god is instilled according to the religion you are in.
I believe in humanity and the power to act.

the following link has been posted on this forum before, but i cannot hold out on you guys: www.zeitgeistmovie.com
this film has been out for some time, urging awareness.

i wish you all the best in your search for the truth

Mine too!!! You guys rock! And thank you again for all your prayers.

I come from a strict Islamic upbringing. I bet your shocked about that!!
In order to be A MUSLIM you have to believe in Christianity too so its hard for me to understand why there is so much hatred. Maybe because religion is intertwined with politics and I am almost convinced now that all religions (although good in general) have been man made to control the masses.

I do believe in a one God but its nothing like we have been taught whether you are Muslim, Christian, Jewish or any other faith. I honestly believe there is a huge gap of information that is missing from our understanding and its been kept that way deliberately to keep us in control.

I believe in the power within "us" so much more now. I believe in humanity and Love for other fellow humans and creatures. Its time we stopped to think about this and its time we find that missing link!

You guys really made a difference to how I am feeling today. Thank you for all your support and kind words, I know I can get over this, but yesterday I felt completely lost and crushed and had to pull on every strength I had to cope.

Prayers for all of you too, that you will succeed in all walks of life!

wow, i thought this thread was gonna be outrageous! hah

I do not believe in god, a higher power, heaven or hell. My family is Catholic and they tried to raise me as a catholic, but for as far as i could remember i just did not believe.

oh i forgot to say, i respect others beliefs and do not judge anyone based on their religion. I think people need to do and believe in what makes them the best person they can be.
