which Chevrolet did Ford copy with the cowl on the "crapstangs"? I know it's not the camaro since the '10 Mustangs came out before them.

My only problem is that, they don't sell V6 mustangs with powder coated wheels or that cowl, tinted windows and other exterior fx. The commercial is a good pitch, but they want people to think that their mustang will look as cool as that straight from the dealer, whereas the reality is that the consumer will have to pour money into the car to make it look that good.

Alot of us Camaro owners are doing the same, but the Camaro in the commercials don't look any different from one the ones being sold. I don't even think Ford sells those wheels or any of the black out FX at the dealership or from factory.

Ford mustang using Transformers to sell cars

Does anyone else see this in the new Ford commercial? Camaro was killing them in sales, so what do they do but steel the Transformers feel to sell their cars. It has the sounds from the movie and they use Transformed in the advertising. Camaro has transformed ford.

Dude I totally noticed that too, and i roll my eyes every time I see it.

1)... That commercial is bad ass, like mustangs or not.
2) They ripped off a couple of transformer sounds, not just one.
3) They freaking say "Transformed"

That commercial was cool enough on its own they didnt need to do that.

With that said though I thought the Camaro / Mustang showdown in the first movie was awesome. A bunch of my non car friends didnt know why i was freaking out but I thought the fact that they worked that rivarly into the original movie was totally cool.

Take out the lame attempts to leech off the Transformers theme, and the music which some find lame....

What you are left with is a commercial that does a heck of a better job selling a car than the snorefest that GM's PR team put out for Camaro.

Whomever is doing the CTS-V commercials for GM should be put on the Camaro next.

One heck of stretch to suggest they're 'transformers' sounds...turn it up...and listen closely...it's not even close. They're 'motion' sounds...not compound sounds that one would could legitimately associate with Transformers.

And the commercial...it's awesome. when I saw it on tv I rewound it and watched it a couple of times...not believing that it was the V6 model. They made me want to go drive a mustang...or at least go look at one. That car looks awesome...

as I was typing this...it came on TV...how ironic.

And as someone else said...this ad BLOWS AWAY any ad GM has put out for the Camaro. It promotes unabashed driving enthusiasm...THAT's what I liked.
