Back to the ipohne 4...I called T-Mobile yesterday to see how long I had left in my contract. After bring with them for like 6 years, they said I would either have to wait until September or pay $100 to get out...Then the rep told me to check out the HTC HD2 because it was "superior" to the iphone...HA!

If he can get you on an employee plan, it would be worth it. But also check AT&T coverage reviews for your area. See if people in your city complain about dropped calls. If the employee plan is as good as the Sprint one I'm on, its an amazing deal for an amazing phone. That being said, I'm sticking with Sprint and the EVO 4G (also an amazing phone).

The iPhone 4 will definitely outperform in low light situations from the back lit sensor, but in normal situations both cameras are on par with average point and shoots. The A4 is very similar to the Snapdragon inside the EVO 4G, both 1GHZ processors. iOS 4 is probably more optimized than Android is for its processor, since Android 2.2 has to run on different phones, but they're very similar in capabilities.

Plus, using an iPhone app for the same amount of time also drains battery life very quickly.

Downloading for 24 hours straight for 31 days at an average of 300kbps on 3G would only use 766GB of bandwidth. Thats non-stop for a month straight. I doubt you used it while you were sleeping... Definitely 1,200,000 KB or around 1.17 GB

But seriously... for the vast majority of iPhone users it's going to feel very fast, have beautiful picture quality and be a pleasure to use without any extra AT&T charges. I know that really damages your fantasy of being smug and superior but honestly, tens of millions of iPhone customers won't care.

Depends how you use it. I do about 1.5GB a month in just email alone. Not to mention streaming and so on. Don't get me wrong, I love Apple and I am a fan boy but I really hate AT&T. Once they hit Verizon I will be all over it. For now though its Incredible time.

12000KB * 60 = 720,000KB/hour
720000KB * 24 = 17,280,000KB/day
12780000 * 31 = 535,680,000KB/month
535680000KB = 510.864258GB/month

I miss typed, it should be KBps (kilobytes). I redid my math and edited the post. I averaged 300KBps and even then couldn't get to a TB.

You had 1,200,000 KiloBytes of usage which equates to around 1.14GB of usage. No big deal and you would have come NOWHERE close to the 2GB cap on the $25 data plan.

i hate to do it but

i was wrong :( my wife told me maga bites but i found the bill and it says killa bites so i went looking and the most i ever pulled down in a month was 2.7 gigs 2,700,000 kb and that was a busy month so i may end up staying with att just for the grandfather thing

but hay I'll admit when I'm wrong.
the most she ever hit was 1.2 gigs 1,200,000kb and she hardly ever uses here phone

I have a Droid and will never go back to iphone. Iphone is nice for certain people but I totally love the way google has setup the Android system. Not to mention AT&T sucks as far as signal goes. My brother lives in DOWNTOWN San Diego and is always dropping calls. ATT sucks

I might as well get rid of my home and work computers, my camera, my ipod and my video camera. Who needs them anymore. You can do anything you want from a "smart" phone.
