If it's your preference though to have great low end torque, pushrod + big displacement is the way to go unless we're talking forced induction.
wait my torque or a Camaro's torque?

the 5.0 seems to be my 4.6 on steroids........same power curve, just.......more power........and higher up in the RPM band.

don't get me wrong my car rips.....but my throttle ramp rate is at 100% and the tune is pretty manipulated to make it feel like it has more low end grunt than it really does. but if i floor it at like 2500 rpm in 2nd gear, pretty much nothing happens.

my dad drives a 2008 Mercedes CLS550.......now THAT has some low end shove. using the manumatic, put it in even 3rd at 1500 rpm and it'll still pull.......it apparently makes peak torque from 1750 to 5k rpms or something ridiculous. i realize its a 7 speed and therefore the gearing is short but still..........its just got a different feel to it.

As the name implies, your dad's car has a 5.5L V8. Mercedes engineers have an extra litre of displacement to work with over your engine. Makes sense to me.

(and like it or not, those Germans know a thing or two about building cars )

Why not just upgrade to a 2010 or 2011 GT500?

Hell no. Trading for a GT? Don't do it. You will regret it. Your car is rare and unique. The GT is and will always be a dime a dozen.

Then you have the top dog that is very rare, easy to get massive hp out of, handles great, and holds it value.

yes.....i believe its a 5.4 but you're correct. and im sure its got some extra tech in there (is that why its a little more expensive than the camaro?) god knows what kind of variable valve timing/variable everything it has

Yes, Then have the dealer you order it through enter the "special" code on the order form to have it Drop shipped to the Shelby plant here in Vegas. when they finish with it you can fly out, pick it up and drive it home.

I like the front of the 2010 and 11s, but they should have kept the rear more flat instead of bubbling it out like they did.

Ford changed there agreement with Shelby. The only way to get them now is to order a 2011GT and have it drop shipped to Shelby. I went to the Shelby Plant about 2 weeks ago and the VP of Sales was with us. They had about 10 2011 they were working on already. They are, also, taking 2005 through 2008 F150s and turning them into Cobra Trucks now.
