With the higher torque and the horrible stock tires, launching an L99 is like launching a RWD car in the ice. I've found out a few techniques to better it, but my launch is still pretty bad (being at a track that has horrible prep also contributes).

You have the bigger tires though, right? Probably part of the issue compared to the 20's.

i find the manual easier, you get more throttle modulation with the clutch

I thought several A6 L99 cars have went 12.8s on stock tires. I haven't been to the track yet so i'm just curious.

3.31
Mustang -
27.25" - 18" 112MPH = 5,940RPM (in 4th gear)
27.68" - 19" 112MPH = 5,940RPM (in 4th gear)

Huge difference. To get the Camaro in the same area:

4.10 = 5,384RPM (in 4th gear)
4.30 = 5,646RPM (in 4th gear)

Pretty clear picture.
youre ignoring the relationship of gearing relative to redline. The Mustang is still geared better but ignoring that relationship (redline/gearing) skews the results/

One or two have. M6 have been 12.5, 12.6 etc etc.

Most L99 seem to either be going low 13 to low 14s. They are all over the place. I mostly run 13.5, 13.6 in mine.

I do, but you'd think dropping the back tires to half their psi, and leaving the front ones at about 5 over would drop the car on the back and help, but they don't. The tires may contribute to the mph, but not the launch.

No I am not. It is posted in front of your eyes in black and white. You clearly have 0 idea what you are even trying to infer. Time to move on.

id say the Camaro definitely needs more gear. esp in the manual...if you guys are shifting it at 6,500 a 4.10 is the absolute minimum.

perhaps i should just leave it at that, its obvious discussing gearing is too difficult for you to truly understand.
