This is true. Better to keep your mouth shut and be thought of as ignorant than open your mouth and remove all doubt.

I'll vouch for that. Heck, all I hear is how sorry a performer the GT500 is given its 500hp but people like to forget it's also saddled with around a 3850-3920lb curb weight. 422hp may sound very nice, but with the weight of the car, I doubt the Camaro is going to perform a whole lot better than some of the Gen 4 versions of the same car.

looks preferance aside, we still have them beat in base pricing... (for the v8 and the v6).

i'm not so sure that the stang will continue it's raign atop the muscle mountain as it has for the past 6 years.

That was back in '68. It is now 40 years later and Ford has put out a car that falls 100hp short of its competition. What was manly then is weak now.

If you have an original Bullitt you are manly for owning a classic car. If you have a '10 Mustang you are the weakest of the new three and will be regarded as such.
Guess I just didn't want to be considered "girly" for getting the sixxer

I agree with the interior assessment. I love the coloring. It really makes it look upscale and lively. However, the dash and center stack do look very parts-bin pieced together. It looks generic. Not bad, but not exciting either. All in all though it looks pleasant. It looks nice and simple where the Camaro looks designed.

Not in torque sorry , they don't even come close plus the 370z is turbo charged ...

The Camaro's V6 makes the Mustang's V6 look pretty sad. It wouldn't be fair to compare the V6 to the Mustang's V8, even though they aren't too far off in terms of HP.

but they are far apart in weight the new 2010 is apparently only 35 pounds heavier then the 09 WOW great job FORD keeping the power to weight ratio down now all we need is that 5.0 to kick some ass , so much for the car will be much heavier due to safety regs etc. bs lol

Oh, no no no....this redesign....no thanks.

The current version is so much better. I'm sorry...but the ext on the new Stang is no where close to being as good looking as the current stang. The interior isn't bad, but ....meh on the exterior. Sorry...

can somebody post a pic ?

I would say that I am a little disappointed because I currently have a 5.3 V8 with 323 lb-ft of torque in my FWD family sedan.

But I think it would be worth a drive even though I don't think I would get one with all of the talk of the 5.0 returning. It could be a difficult decision for me in 2013 but then again we don't know what the Camaro will have in a couple of years.

Thanks for the competitive advantage Ford!
Interior made by Tonka? That was stupid.

6 cylinder Camaros are still nothing to worry about. There is one thing the Mustang has over the Camaro and that is the weight advantage.

I'd much rather have an underpowered light car than a powerful boat.

Plus, the new Mustang is only 35 lbs heavier than the outgoing model! When 2011 hits with the 5.0L mill, it will be one hell of a ride.
