Ah, but there is already a Charger Coupe, it is called the Challenger

A 2 door Charger would make ZERO sense folks and the name is now well established as a sporty sedan! I certainly prefer the 21st century approach to the Charger/Challenger compared to what happened to them in the 80s.....

so what? the old one was a hit, why not tweak it and sell more.?

The reason I think they didn't make it a 2 door like the original, is because people would just complain about the car's size. Seeing as it would be bigger and heavier than a challenger. Everyone without a challenger complains about the size now, so why would they want a bigger car with the same performance? It would look pretty cool though.

im no fan of the thunderbird (any year) but i think its pretty obvious where the source of inspiration was for it

the charger pretty much took zero design cues from the old ones.

at least the new redesigned charger will have the swooping lines similar to the ones that made the original so cool.
