I don't like the greenhouse profile. It looks almost exactly like a Saturn Ion. The Cruze is supposed to be a game changer for GM.

They won't sell many SS's if they make them. They didn't sell many SS Cobalts, Mazda doesn't sell that many Mazdaspeeds, they don't sell many Caliber SRTs. The Toyota "S" sells a lot, but it really isn't even in the same league. It's just a slightly bigger 4 for more pick up.

In any case, I hope it does well. The mileage and the interior should draw some interest. Wish the larger engine still had the turbo, though.

U SOOOO NEED TO GET OUT MORE...

Decent pricing. But why this obsession with emulating Mazda's "toothless grin"? If the grille was more "evenly split", top-to-bottom, and the bottom was more "squared off" than "droopy", maybe... This holds true for most "new" Chev designs, including Traverse and Equinox.

With all the features, including 10 airbags, no wonder the Curb Weight of all vehicles is constantly increasing...

We are in the market for a fuel efficient, small car for under 20k. Right now it's between the Cruze and the Ford Fiesta. I even considered the Kia Soul. I love the looks of the Cruze. I don't see what's so ugly about it. However, we aren't really concerned about the looks from the outside since this will be hubby's work car and the car we take to go on trips. The Camaro will be garaged unless I need to go somewhere during the day or we want to cruise on the weekends.

Looks to be starting about $2000 more than the out going Cobalt, but it starts off better equipped and from everything I've heard it's a much nicer car overall.

Straying from the "ancient" Impala to something akin the Mazda, which descends from the original "happy face" Neon, is IMHO a step in the wrong direction...
