Brandwhores only care about the car that they currently own. Most brandwhores can only afford one car at a time, often wonder why anyone would care about cars other than the one they own, and feel the need to justify that single purchase. Just sayin'......

Afford one car at a time? Really? Some people just don't like wasting all their money on cars. Others are just too young to have 5 cars. I'm pretty sure most people on here either have another car, or can afford another one.

When it comes to rivalry they justify their purchase when questioned by rivals. If you were to come in here and tell me your mustang was better than my camaro, I'd shoot back defending my camaro and justifying the reason I bought it, as you would, vice versa.

I traded an 02' SS on the GT and have owned 5 GM's and three ford's including this one. I'll probably own another GM when the alpha platform hits the market. I come here to see what the hell is happening in the GM world. Unfortunately it appears I'm just a bum and can only afford one performance car and one truck (a neccessity) at the same time lol.

I'd expect it's about as laughable and pointless as posting in this thread if you really don't care about the topic. If you don't care, then why are you commenting? Personally, my reason for being here is to learn about the fifth gen and discuss with the people here. It just so happens that along the way, I have seen quite a bit of misinformation on the mustang and some other cars, so I have commented. Most of the people you see coming in here are probably on plenty of other car forums.

Lol WTF are you talking about? I own a camaro ss and a 40k gmc acadia. I sold a G35 coupe recently, owned a dodge, Nissan, VW, BMW, etc. Over the years. I'm not even a brand loyalist, much less your made up title of "brandwhore". And even if I was, why would being loyal to a single brand have ANY bearing on what cars someone can or can't afford?

I own and run more than a half dozen automotive forums, most for vehicles I don't own. But I personally would never go onto a forum for a car I don't own and spend my valuable time bashing it or even saying my car is better than yours. And if you don't think that happens on here evil twin, I challenge you to reread this one thread again.

No offense Sleestack, but having a GT-500 and a SRT8 doesn't really put you in that top bracket of having more than one expensive car.

If you had a Lambo and a ZR1, that'd be different, but posting something like that with that garage.... really? C'mon now.

This is going to turn into a pissing match. You can't compare wallets by looking at a person's car and doing so is dumb anyway. You could have the idiot with a GT500 that is getting ****ed sideways on payments and a guy with a v6 camaro that payed off his car on the spot because he's not a fool. There are plenty of people in this country that drive around in cars they literally cannot afford.

Ford Mustang sales top Chevrolet Camaro in May

Quote:
Ford seems to have found the special ingredients it needed for the Mustang to spank the Chevrolet Camaro in sales. Thanks to a heap of power from a range of efficient new engines, the Blue Oval's pony car managed to top the Bow Tie's bruiser in sales for the first time since the Camaro sauntered back onto the market last year. Last month, Ford managed to move 10,225 Mustangs off of dealer lots and into the hands of the power-crazed public. Chevrolet, on the other hand, saw only 8,931 Camaros drive off into the sunset.

While the Mustang tended to rank higher in comparisons against the Camaro even before the new engines hit the scene for 2011, American buyers responded to the big power numbers and menacing style of the General Motors muscle car. Now that the Ford is cranking out slightly more grunt and marginally better fuel economy, Chevrolet may find itself playing catch up for the rest of the year. Not to worry, Bow Tie fans. It won't be long before GM's spicing up the Camaro lineup with the likes of a drop-top and the oft-rumored Z/28 may still be in the cards, too.

June should be a little more interesting.

The 5.0 enthusiasts are buying their vehicles, plus the fact that dealers are offering huge incentives to get the 2010 Mustangs would make a recipe for a short-lived victory over the Camaro.
