Angry A RANT THAT HAS TO BE SAID!!

I fell in Love with the Camaro last year!

I came to this forum cos I wanted to discuss with other fellow lovers of the Camaro5 all the options and the hype and just wallow in the excitement about this car.

But, 50% of this forum is cancered with stuff about poor GM and will they survive and how gov should help them etc etc.

For a start, that topic shouldnt be in this section of the forum so Im more pissed at the mods for not moving all those threads and putting it somewhere else so if you NEEDED to be reminded that we are facing hard times you can go and read the vomit there.

This is really bringing me down, and also the spirit of this forum and I just cant take anymore threads about poor GM. GM needs to get their sh!t together and stop banking on handouts. No one will come and help me if my company was in crisis!

This is a car forum, I want to talk about this beautiful car that I am crazy about but all I get is negative vibes in this forum. If I had seen so many threads before I joined I would have run a mile to another Camaro forum. But I like some of the people here and I want to stay!

The mods seriously need to clean up and add a section where all these threads about poor GM can go into so that we have a CAR FORUM back again!

Just incase you havent figured it out yet, I dont have any sypmathy for corporate giants GM, Chrysler, Nissan etc etc who loved creaming our greens in the past and now expect the feather treatment cos their in hard times.

There!! I said it!!

Respect to you all!!

Would you rather have all those threads deleted and a sticky posted saying
"No discussion about GM's future"
Something like that happened when the politics forum was removed and we decided to allow for politics to be discussed when it pertains the Camaro/GM.

I would love to get back to talking about the Camaro, and I have having to come here and read through pages of doom and gloom posts about how GM will fail and millions of jobs will be lost. But fact is, there isn't much to talk about for the Camaro right now. Soon the magazines will be running articles about the SS but there will hardly be anything to talk about until people start getting their cars. Most Camaro discussion will be
1) asking about performance mods, and being told that we don't know but think . . . 2) complaining about this or that feature that isn't on the Camaro

We won't even have spyshots to tide us over this fall/winter.

No I never said that at all but there is a place for these discussions and it should NOT be in the general discussion board at all. It should be in off topic area. Imagine if new if new people came to see about the Camaro and all they got was the negativity how bad GM is doing. Wouldnt fill anyone with confidence about ordering a Camaro would it!

Thats all I was saying.

Sorry, I'm frustrated with all these threads too. Much has been cleaned up and moved by others on the mod squad

blah blah blah.... to everyone....

this goes right up there with 90% of the other threads out there asking this or that about the camaro that could easily be solved by doing a

but no one does it.

to the OP, you should have been here 2 years ago when we first started speculating about the car, then when the transformers movie came out and 2093742093874 people joined the site talking about all sorts of non car related stuff, then a month ago when orders were taken.... oh, wait, thats when you joined lol (seriously, im joking on that remark). im glad that you fell in love with the camaro, i really am, but creating another thread to bitch about the threads on here and mods not doing their job..... ya know, cus thats all they do is sit on this site and monitor every single post made.

but one thing to keep in mind, is that this "downfall of GM" is a phase and will come and go, just like the 239487 threads about how high gas prices are in everyones area... whoopty crap, what the hell do I care about how much someone in Iowa is paying for gas? just like a lot of members on this site, these topics come and go. be patient with them, tho I can understand your anger and frustration with it, its a phase and it will pass.

so please be patient with the BS that is going on, I can guarantee you that the mods/admin are doing their best to keep things contained, but there is a limited number of them vs a whole crap ton of posters.

In the future, just send us a pm or even make a post asking for a thread to be moved.

Normally, we'll be glad to accomodate.

I'm sure you can allow us to miss a few moves and merges with nearly 1,000 posts a day to manage.

Simply PM a mod. I find them most helpful on this site, and I think they are accomodating people by not moving things sometimes.

On the other hand, I know what you're saying.

The thing is, the stuff HAS hit the fan, and the survival or demise of domestic automakers is not a story or post ending anytime soon.

No GM = no Camaro, so people are going to talk about it.

Just PM mods rather than post, it's common cyber courtesy to them.

So look out for the new Camaro. Canadian made assembled there shipped extra hundred miles by rail. Where do think all the parts is made for this car. All over seas and Mexico. I am going to buy one but it will be the last GM car I will buy!!!!!!!!
I don't know WHERE you worked at GM, but your view of what's happened -- and what really happened are two separate things.

I can tell you firsthand that there have been amazing changes at GM -- some not so good -- some incredible........ Look at our recent products -- that shows the changes.

As to the parts for Camaro -- you're wrong - most of the parts are made here in the United States and Canada --

And I would not consider Bob Lutz or Ed Welburn as beancounters........
