driven 2 2011 v6s last week and 1 2011 gt/cs with nothing more than handing the salesman my drivers license. when i was done i told them thanks, and took a card and left.

A coworker just purchased a 2010 Mustang V6. From a distance, the car looks very nice in silver. When I got up close, I noticed all the rusting that was clearly visible around the live axle and suspension components. I thought it looked very unsightly especially when the car is supposed to be brand new. In comparison, my Camaro is relatively free of rust. There's only a little bit of rust where the hangers were welded onto the exhaust system.

The other thing I noticed about the Mustang was the obvious cost cutting. The reason why I could see all the rusting that I mentioned above was due to the lack of a plastic housing around the wheel well. I could see the hose from the gas tank to the upper body and all the black painted sealant covering the metal framework. The sealant had a very sloppy look as someone was in a hurry when it was applied. Seriously Ford, why be so cheap? A plastic housing doesn't cost THAT much to cover things up.

After looking at that Mustang, I appreciate the quality and upscale appearance of my Camaro in comparison. Kudos GM!

I don't notice outside of pictures because I am not a midget. How any of you see the rear axle of the mustang without bending down... well you might want to use a car seat next time you drive. Are you guys really going to complain about rust UNDER THE CAR on parts rust is expected to be on right away? Do you understand the concept of surface rust? It is supposed to be there and it's not a problem because anyone over "the magic number, 4'8" won't see it. Find something else to complain about LOL. I'm sure ford could stitch some little butterflies on the bottom of the seats if you want to check there for prettiness.

People are just poking fun. Having a good time at the competitions expense . Geez.... ease up and chill. Far more serious things in life than this to get worked up about.

I've always had great car dealership experiences, they always want to take my money... lol

I can't remember the last time I wanted to go look and drive a car and a salesman told me no, maybe when I was 16 :p

I don't pull right into the dealership lot, I park out by the car I want to look at. The salesman usually chase me down. I play a game with them sometimes, I hop back in the car really quick and drive away a little more, and keep doing it until I completely avoid him unless I want to see something... lol
