No, have fun with him learning. If you feel like yelling, laugh instead, and tell him you did the same thing... And take him out for ice cream afterward. It's one of those 'forever' memories, make it a good one

Yeah, he's pretty laid-back and just going from other "stuff" we've done, I don't think it will get too weird. Besides, this car really is super easy for a manual. I've only stalled it once (gas station backing up no room and uphill). It was 30+ years since I had driven a manual, and I did okay. He'll have a stall (or two) and a couple herky-jerky's and then he should be fine with it.
