shouldn't be higher than the camaro ss, even with the new engine; of course the supercharged saleen is expensive, but you can get the same blower from whipple or ford racing and it will make the same power. the 4.6 3v and internals are good for 550 bhp, but i don't know what the 5.0 will be good for

The thing with Saleen is that it technically isn't Ford. Saleen is a manufacturer that shares a platform with the Mustang, much like the way Toyota and Subaru are working on a RWD platform together. Moreover, the Saleen isn't even close to a fair comparison because it is a limited production company in comparison to mass producers like Ford, Dodge, or Chevy.

regardless, you could do the same thing saleen does for less on any S197 GT. the parts are readily available from FRPP or other manufactures but now this is just becoming semantics

Thought I'd point out that there is one car which will be the first to receive the EB V6, that being the MKS. I'd think you could expect a little more power from the 340 or so that the boosted MKS will have, but 400 would sound doubtful.

if you want to get into ZR1 then Ford has its GT but this is pointless, we are just internet racing. all you really need is time and money

the FORD GT is a true EXOTIC SPORTS CAR makes the ZR1 look weak sorry , it is MID ENGINE and has lots of HERITAGE and AWESOME STYLING ,there is talk of a MID ENGINE VETTE IN THE NEXT GEN THAT WOULD BE SWEET, I know the ZR1 is a bit quicker but it is also a MUCH NEWER car hence more HP maybe they will bring the FORD GT back with more HP though some modified GTs are pushing 1000+ hp I just love the look of those beauties there is a few in my city , IMO it is great to have the MARO , CHALLY back in production to compete with the STANG so it should be very interesting in the future I am really looking forward to the 5.0 STANG although I think the SS is sweet too I just cant make up my mind on what to buy next ,and the CHALLY well let's put it this way OBESE not for me sorry lol nice styling though... I'm hoping the 5.0 will be released in the 2010 model year... ONLY 7 DAYS TO GO for the new GT reveal can't wait here is the LINK

Let's be fair. The Corvette ZR1 is a high-performance car in the $100k range with only 2 seats.
