The Boss would fit nicely between the GT and GT500.
I hope they can drop a good 100-200 lbs off the GT and have more hp. That would be a winner. |

I'll be happy to see the "Boss" coming out of Ford, because as another mentioned, a new Z/28 won't be far behind (or ahead, depending on your viewpoint). While I think the graphics look like sh!t, I'm all into a new Boss 'stang. I prefer a more subdued looking pony/muscle car, so that's why I got the ones I presently have:
![]() ![]() The Bullitt picture was taken on road "N2", near the Old Ridge Route (a little N of Nos Angeles), and the KR shot was at the top of Mt. Pinos, in the big parking lot... Only car up there that day. Another couple shots with my KR, and actually someone else's Bullitt. I pulled into a rest stop on CA highway 1, and the Bullitt owner was sleeping inside; had to get some pics! ![]() ![]() And my Bullitt, shot near Shasta on a road trip last summer. Color is a little off; it's a really bit darker green in most light. ![]() Yeah, I know it's a Camaro forum, but some enthusiasts appreciate other fun cars; right? The Shelby aftermarket packages are more marketed for the Shelby enthusiasts as a collectable. SuperSnake packages actually support less rubber on the rear than the stock GT500, but the offset and size look great visually. If performance is your only goal, you are better off dollar for dollar buying a GT500 (NOT a tuner car), and doing a few bolt-ons.

I'd rather have a GT500.

If they add hp, drop weight, tune the suspension some more it will be just like what the Z28 used to be.

My KR already makes more HP & torque than the old LS6 Camaros did, sticks better on a skidpad, stops faster, is more comfortable, and gets a bunch better gas mileage... Hard to find a much better American muscle car if you ask me, new or old. |

A lighter better handling Boss with more race tuned suspension would probably handle itself better around a track. Especially a small tight track where the GT500 hp wouldn't come into effect as much.

hes talking about the Boss. Im sure the GT500 sticks good on a skidpad but that doesnt mean it makes the car more tossable.

Well if you're comparing aftermarket cars to other aftermarket cars..you might as well bring in the Super Snake.
If this is enough to get GM off their complacent ass and either work on the SS or actually make a Z28 model..then I say bring it on. |

It's GM though. The Camaro has been their once-a-decade legend. It's all downhill from here boys!

I'm still putting my money on the 'Vert being the last Camaro variant before the new generation of V8's. |
