Red face

ACTUALLY gobots came out a year before the transformers and both had a cartoon that came out in 84 (transformers came out on tv a month before the gobots cartoon came out).

and to ad insult to injury there was a line of transformer sized gobots called 'super gobots' and one of them turned into a yellow VW beetle

And to all you people out there who are about to rip on me for making fun of the Go Bots, I have my old pal Ogre to set you all straight.

NERDS!!!
Hate to point out what making a reference to Ogre in 2010 makes you...

Not to worry though, being a nerd pays very well

Even though I was real young when Go-Bots and Transformers came out (6 years old) I could tell the Go-Bots was some ass-hats! Speaking of hats this is when I was done with Go-Bots, Tux the robot with a top hat

Yep. That happened a LOT when my dad was sent to the toy store by himself. All he could see is that they "transformed" not reading the packaging at all

Here's a funny review of Go-Bots

Still, which vendor is going to jump in and produce the Gobots badging?

I had that one!!
Me 'n my buddy Ian were big Gobot fans.
It was a cheap and easy way for our parents to buy boat loads of toys for us!
I had the Renegade command center, while Ian had the Gobot command center.

Very cool!
And.. although Scooter was a whiny geek.. he was my favorite.

They were cheaper than Transformers, and transformed much much easier.

Yeah, but everyone had scooter since he was the cheapest gobot on the shelf = parent magnet. Problem was you could never trade him away.

I think mine eventually died in a multi-car pileup, using WD-40 pyrotechics for special effects.
