Sky Diving, Sunday May 23rd @ Sky Dive San Marcos...

Want to go skydiving... I am planning to go skydiving again...

I figured about a months notice should be pretty good.

Last time we scheduled for an early morning jump, however, windy conditions caused Sky Dive San Marcos to call off all sessions for that morning. I figured this time, we should schedule a bit later in the day, hopefully allowing the sun a little more time to come out and start to warm up. This way, if there are any questionable weather conditions we will have more of a notice... this way people do not have to drive all the way out just to be told its a no go...

anyway... I am signing up for the 12pm session on Sunday, May 23rd.

If anyone else wants to go, its best to register as soon as you can. The lady at SDSM said they will keep us together as best as possible, allowing us to jump in groups. I think they have 6 jumpers per session, and 2 sessions per hour, each session 30 minutes apart(12pm, 12:30pm, 1pm, 1:30pm... etc).

The last time we were gonna go sky diving, there were several people who said they wanted to, but Kyle was the only one who actually showed up to jump... So here is your second chance... dont chicken out this time...

I always talked about going but never did so for my 50th birthday everone chiped in and as a surprise gift, I found myself at the airport. I couldn't wait to jump and let me tell you, it was THE MOST EXCITING THING I EVER DID!!!!! that was 2 years ago and we are planning to do it again this year. Anyone in the area that is even thinking about doing it should sign in because you won't be sorry!!! Have a great "jump" everyone.

$195

From their site:

"Tandem Skydive
For those of you who want to experience the thrill of skydiving without having to complete the elaborate training requirements to jump solo, the Tandem Skydive is just for you!

only $195.00

A Tandem skydive is a fun filled experience that you will never forget. During the skydive, you will be harnessed to one of our expert tandem instructors who will ensure your safety and enjoyment.
Your experience will start with 'one-on-one' instruction from your instructor who will take you through a detailed step by step description of your skydive as you prepare to 'gear up' for the jump.
Your ride to altitude, in one of our fast turbine aircraft, will take around 20 minutes. You will be harnessed to your tandem instructor and experience approximately 60 seconds of freefall (until the parachute is deployed) followed by a 3-4 minute canopy ride that will carry you to a soft landing.

Please note:
  • You must be at least 18 years old and have photo ID to make a Tandem Skydive.
  • You must bring and show your photo ID with you regardless of age.
  • Tandem Skydivers over 230 lbs will be evaluated on a case by case basis.
  • Please wear loose comfortable clothing and athletic footwear.
  • There is an additional airlift charge of $25 for Tandem Skydivers over 230 lbs.
  • Over 65's with doctors written medical clearance only."

When we went in March I think it was less expensive, so maybe they can match that price or something... Also... I think they have some kind of military discount too... I think...

but either way... it was well worth it... enough so to do it again...
