there are also a ton of us who feel this way also. IMO.
The polls, depending on what they're asking, only depicts a fraction of the majority of enthusiasts; which is why i dont believe they do what your statement above reads.
I just don't want people like JohnnyCamaro and fbodfather to dread coming here because that same fraction of enthusiasts want something new. I'm a big fan of new options and features, and I'm sure that they are aware that we are hugely supportive of all their hard work, but I don't want them to get a message that we don't intend to send.

I like Polls. They obviously do have some type of impact...Blue,. Polished wheels/RS. If you don't like them, then don't open up the thread.

I also like Pink's suggestion of having the pollos in their own area. That way, those that do not want to participate, don't have to even look at them.

Hey, let's start a poll to see who wants to move polls to their own area???

i totally agree.
on the same token, i dont think our option hungry threads will phase them one bit. they know what they're capable of and know where most of us stand, right behind them if the polls dont make a big enough impact, they will simply be brushed off IMO.

btw, havent seen CamaroScotty here in a while...

I'm betting you suffer from what all the banks want you to suffer from. Hmmm should I go 60 or 72 months? Its a real problem. You all want the car but most of you dont have the money. You cant even vote yet, pipe down and listen.
Settle down there. I never said I didn't find the polls annoying. I'm just saying that for you to come on here and bash young members (who will end up deciding the fate of GM, remember, we're the ones who will be making economic decisions in the future), is totally uncalled for. My parents trust me to make an informed decision regarding cars since I know more about GM and their vehicles than they do. Our salesman is a great guy, but half of them have no idea as to where to start when discussing a new car.

Financing? Ha. We bought it with cash. GM gave my dad a nice check to retire. We gave it right back to them.

And in all honesty, I find the under 18 crowd here to be mature beyond their years. We're not the ones telling people to "pipe down and listen" just because we can't vote. I have extremely well-formed political opinions, thank you very much. You're not going to make any friends here if you keep up the attitude, and I suggest that you tone it down.

If you want more respect, begin with your own posts. I'm an engineer on the very vehicle you admire. I drive daily 60 miles to work on that vehicle, work an average of 10 hours a day and then drive 60 miles back home. Most Saturdays as well. Now we have the teen agers with their silly polls and petitions. For Christ's sake, buy a Dodge if this isn't all you ant it to be. Truth is 75% of these kids will never have a 2010 Camaro until 2016.
If you are an engineer working on this car, then you're not representing it well. You're also not helping GM's economic crisis by telling us to buy a Dodge. I get the fact that you think that you've done the best job you can with this car, and I agree. But there is ALWAYS room for improvement, and that's how cars become most successful. And like I said in my last post, us "kids" are the ones who will decide whether or not the Camaro remains in production. We'll be the ones to buy or not buy them. You should consider yourself lucky that there are so many people who are more than willing to buy the car you're building and still have many, many years of driving ahead of them.

I'd also like to remind you that higher-ups at GM are reading this forum. If I were you, I'd watch what I post.

OK....let's all take a deep breath, shall we?

Must I remind some people that the word "Camaro" means friend, pal or comrade?

This site is a nice site to visit because bad behavior isn't tolerated.

Now -- Polls:

If you don't like polls, don't click on the thread! Simple as that!

Polls are good to a certain extent -- yes, we get the temperature of the enthusiast -- but frankly the polished wheel issue and blue were pretty much solved by the Disciples telling us that we needed to do it. We COULD do it without a huge amount of money....(you'd be amazed at what it costs just to validate a wheel or a color......).....

Now -- that said: the danger is that "well -- we took a poll and GM won't do it so GM doesn't care about their customers"...........THAT'S a problem!

I think you could poll people to death and we'd get to where the customer is demanding 50 color choices and 80 interior choices.........AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN BY ANY MANUFACTURER other than, perhaps Rolls and Bentley......

So -- let's keep it nice --

.......and to a certain 'GM Employee' -- calm down..........we need to be kind to our customers.

OK to poll - just understand that we can't do everything that everyone wants and keep the Camaro reasonably priced -- further, the more you 'proliferate' a model (more build combinations) the more expensive the base cost of the car becomes - and quality can suffer. (want a perfect car? limit it to ONE build combination....)

I think this thread took a turn for the worst.
I wasn't bitching about having too many polls. I'm just annoyed at those that fbodfather mentioned above. The ones that think that just because GM doesn't automatically do what a poll says that they want done then that means GM doesn't care. Also, the ones demand thousands of combinations straight out from the first year of production and demand it immediately, and still expect to pay under $10,000. Some people just beeed to get a grip of reality and stop living in fantasy world

We are all enthusiasts here, and post on this forum to learn as much as we can, and to help others that don't know as much. If you don't want to be a part of that, then maybe you shouldn't post here.
