Hope I don't get flamed for this, But the SHO is one of the most overated car IMO, They do look nice. But perfomance wise is a little less than the Pontiac G8 GT whiched cost about 7k less. With similar fuel economy, though the Sho gets a little better gas mileage than the pontiac, the pontiac is thousands cheaper and the better handling car. How long would it take to recoup the $7k price difference at the pump?? The G8 GXP would whip the SHO at the track. Just makes me miss pontiac even more. JMVHO.

the SHO is also bigger and about 500 LB more than the G8.

your complaining that the sho is thousands more than the G8 GT then you say the GXP which is thousands more than the sho would whip it at the track.......hmmm

The point I was making is that they are bragging about V6 mileage but the listed mileage is nowhere near top standards for a V6, when the V8 in the Camaro and Mustang are getting the same mileage as the suppose V6 mileage taurus
Oh...yeah then I understand.

I don't know many V6s that do get great milage to be honest...most are just a tad better than V8s without the power!

SHOs are nice cars--- my car is a few ticks faster though

But SHOs are much more luxourious, but also come with a heafty price tag.. It is all about what you want.

I like it.

I was reading over on the G8board about how you are having some trouble with that money pit you should do yourself a favor and just get rid of it like I and many others have that car was the reason I ended up buying my first Ford and I haven't regreted it for a minute

disclaimer I am in no way saying that this represents all GM but it was the last new one I will purchase for a while

Yeah-- not a money pit (warranty)--- but I've definitely had some issues, especially with service quality.

I am really digging the SVT Raptor (which I see you own)--- Awesome truck. I just couldn't swing that gas mileage for my work vehicle- I drive 30-36K a year.

You're right technically it's not a money pit at least not until the warranty is up. But as you know that warranty is almost useless with these asshat dealers GM still has.

i wonder if the SHO will turn into the next big boosted car kinda like the cobra. I suspect it will respond great to mods.

btw I havent seen any CTS-V's on the road.
