ODST was a game about another branch of the squads. Instead of the Spartans, it's the ODST (something something shock troopers) and it's just another storyline.

If you bought ODST, there was a code to get into the beta for the new Halo game called REACH. it's just the next game in the series.

Got it. My son probably plays it still. I'd check it out, but I know myself and if I do, I'll never get anything done.

A lot of people have a hard time understanding the Halo story cause they never ready the 7 novels

Did you guys know there were 72 Spartans ... no I take it

@ muscle master...agreed damn good story, haven't read all the books though.

I just gotta say, I've been playing thru the ODST campaign since I have it now, and it's AWFUL. You could ride a seatless unicycle down the side of the Grand Canyon into a patch of scorpion-infested cactus while flossing with a wallet chain, and have about as much fun. And now to attempt to write a subjective review... Ugh.

I love the Halo books, really intriguing. And that is 72 Spartan IIs, there were quite a few Spartan IIIs but they were sadly considered disposable and often sent on suicide missions.

Of course the original recruiting pool was quite a bit larger, but that last round of physiological upgrades they received killed and maimed quite a few of them.

I could probably go on about this all day, so I'm gonna stop here

This brings up an interesting thought: Will we see Master Chief in the Reach campaign? I really hope so, that'd be pretty sweet if Noble team runs into him somehow
