I know what you mean. My first Dell lasted around 2-3 years, my second Dell lasted about the same time. The first one still runs well for internet browsing and light tasks, and my second Dell is still a great computer, but the screen died over Christmas Break and I had to ship it to Houston to get Dell to fix it (on top of paying $500 for repairs).

Office for Mac is fully compatible with MS Office on non-Mac computers. No worries there.

i love my intel iMac - bought in 06 & still running like a champ. cross-compatibility ain't a problem, as i've swapped files from here to PC & back all through college.

one thing, though... a couple months ago, my screen started dying - i've got a nice assortment of colored lines down my screen & the only remedy is having it replaced... or i could just get the video adapter & set up a second screen as my primary & be home-free

haha, ya im a thrill seeker. alot of my friends think im crazy and i dont know many girls that would do any of the things i would. sky diving, bunjee jumping, skipping out on a taxi fare (which i did when to an illegal taxi fun night)
