yeah apparently the new 5.0L has massive wheel hop, that is hindering the performance, that probably why there is so many different 1/4 mile times.

It's 100% the tires. Without the summer tires, C&D said they were spinning the tires a lot during the even the 3-4 shift. Spinning the rubber at well over 70mph means you've got some mad tires issues. It's under-rubbered, simple as that.

I bet the auto puts out some killer times. If you seen the vids of it racing the auto Camaro you'll know what I mean.

Keep doing it right Ford!!
Quick question. If you go out of your way to pimp ford, why are you on a Chevy Camaro site? Although I would never join a mustang site, I'm sure there are many you could go to and pimp fords all day.
Just sayin.

there are ford boys on this site because the discussion is interesting. there is meaningful discussions back and forth from the perspective of brand respective fans.

because, in general the discussion is intellgent. all you get on a ford site is fan boys(ive been one in the past) and no counterpoints.

to all those who think high technology (vtec) is a joke or ricer stuff, jealousy will get you nowhere. my new car has technology to rival ferrari, BMW or any other.

412hp from a factory 5 liter engine. technology im proud of. but i feel the same way about the LS2. its my favorite engine of all. i want one and ill have one when the stang is paid for. 6 liters,400hp is cool and in a luxury car like a CTS, its heaven.

make fun of technology if you think it is cool. you dont realize it looks foolish. because most every modern enthusiast appreciates what dohc VCT does for a motor.

ferrari, bmw, maserati, lambourghini, lotus, mercedes, mclaren, audi, etc. more power per cube all-motor than even the 5.0 4v.

That's not the part I don't understand:

"I don't want Vtec"

and "Vtec"...

WHY wouldn't you want increased performance and efficiency? and...
Camaro doesn't have "vtec"

.....

Well Im not a fan of vtech either.. just for gas milage really.. once u mod out for performance alot of times u get rid of the vtec anyway..
but for a stock car yea vtec get you regular performance at wot but good gas milage at cruising..
