hate to necropost but... I finally bit the bullet and bought a Rebel T2i... I love it!! Taking it to the Richmond race this weekend and to Vegas next week

I have a Kodak M1033 that is capable of taking up to 30 mins of HD footage. I got it a few years ago. Recharagable battery. Got it at Wal Mart for a few hundred bucks. 10MP photos with35-105mm equiv, AF 3X optical zoom. Has smart capture with facial dection.
I love it. Its approximately the width and higth of a credit card, and is about an inch thick. I believe that they still sell them. Good luck and I hope that you find a camera that you love. |

I use a Nikon D90 for pictures. Very nice DSLR camera.
 I also do HD video recording/editing and use the following: Sony HVRHD1000U:  Attached to that, I record it to compact flash using this memory recording unit:

For everyday shooting I just use my old sony p100 and newer w300 but when I need the dslr I've got a sony a900
Personally, I can't go wrong with sony Fortunately, I received the a900 as a gift from my parents |

I have two and like them both. The Olympus goes everywhere because its small and the pics are pretty darn good too
