Personally I wouldn't Turbo... so I don't kno. Go with a simple S/C or do non-forced air mods like a Pully Swap and a some intake work, along with a free flowing exhaust and a tune. Probably get U to 500-550HP easy and inexpensive.

Next thing you'll say is the mustang was the first small sporty car with a V8 to come out.

Go back FURTHER to 1997

The thing is I want at least 600 and I know that lingenfelter gets that with their SC and TT setup. The only reason I am thinking about TT is because I would like to try something new and if it is cheap enough I would definitly go NA as long as I can get 600hp and close to that in tq.

Come on Money... the LS9 already exists with 638HP. Even if U add 110HP to the 550HP GT500 U are at 660HP. Do U really think that the LS9 couldn't be simply tuned up another 23HP to beat it?

I kno for a fact that I can kick out $600 and get the hardware to move my 556HP LSA to 630HP/630lbs of torque... anytime

Don;t kno off the top of my head, but this is their formula for 570HP outta the LS3 Naturally Asp:

Quote:
570 BHP / 575 lbs-ft of torque
Package includes:
- Engine removal, inspection and disassembly
- Custom LS7 aluminum block preparation
- JE forged aluminum pistons
- Callies 4.000" stroke forged steel crankshaft
- Manley 6.125" fully machined 4340 forged steel I-Beam connecting rods
- Computer balanced rotating assembly
- ARP 8740 premium grade head studs
- Lingenfelter CNC porting and polishing of LS3 L92 cylinder heads
- 2.165" hollow stem intake / 1.59" solid stem exhaust valves
- Competition Cams double valve springs, titanium retainers, 10 degree locks & valve stem seals
- Three angle valve job, checking of spring tensions and heights
- Lingenfelter designed Competition Cams hydraulic roller camshaft
- High volume oil pump assembly
- Port matched LS3 composite intake manifold & polished 90 MM throttle body
- Properly sized fuel injectors
- Lingenfelter High Flow Air Intake
- Reassembly and blueprinting of the engine
- Professional installation, testing and tuning
- Stainless steel exhaust by Corsa Performance - 2 tip sport system
- ATI Underdrive Pulley
If U did the work yourself... costs would be substantially lower than them doing it

The fact that the Mustang had All Seasons on is damn near negated by the fact the Camaro has 20 inch, heavier wheels. Let's not also forget that the Camaro is 200+ lbs heavier basically due to the fact that it's almost in a different size segment altogether.

BTW.. if U care to READ... instead of trying to "Court" me.. U might have seen that my EXACT Quote was :

U SEE??? U SEE??? The part I underlined??? The part that went way beyond your comprehension skills???

Motivation for me would be LOOKS, PERFORMANCE, WOW Effect, and Engine Reliability.

The Mustang's Engine is to new for me to know about it's durability., It looks like DoG Poop in every form except the GT500, and while it's performance is sweet... it's about as eye catching as a watching Rosie O'Donnel walk around topless at the beach. OK.. BAD example.. because it would be eye catching.. but in a BAD WAY:(

POINT Is... I didn't contradict myself at all.. U just didn't READ
SO based on my replies to the retarded crap you post you've now determined that I am a mustang lover, Ive never raced anything and I am a sensitive *****. All for calling YOU out for contradicting yourself, and being an overall fanboy who can't make a logical argument to save his life but instead resorts to repeatedly quoting rumors and conjecture and crap that he just plain old MADE UP to justify his BS.

I saw your exact quote and now you're backtracking on your semantics because you can't justify the 7 pages of crap you have dumped on this forum. I actually feel like I have lost braincells reading this. I see in the past 2 pages since your reply to me you have continued to spew dumb crap more and more.

Keep digging your hole, we all know you are an idiot, and you prove it with every post.

Actually..the LS9 and the LSA are two different engines and cost worlds apart. The LSA is essentially just a 6.2L with a blower on it, the LS9 is a completely different block that has been hand built.

You cant just switch some parts around and for 600 bucks turn a LSA into a LS9.

A LS9 Camaro would easily run 70,000+ dollars.

Kill the Stereotypes... especially on a CAMARO vs MUSTANG thread. U can't get Corvette stereotypes that come close to the negative ones associated to those two cars

I don't think so. The Production of the VW started in 1998... where as the Prowler started in 1997.

Seriously Dude... I kno that. My point was that the LSA is a seriously modifiable engine. If an LSA can be modified up almost 100HP for under $1000 by an average joe... surely GM engineers can do it for less. ALSO... as I said.. the LSA can hit 630HP (8 shy of the LS9) and 26 more torque than the LS9... for less than $1K.

Why would I wanna turn the LSA into an LS9 when I can simply mod the LSA to have similar power output?

Mostly because the LS9 is a stronger motor, and a stronger starting point.

You can mod the LSA to similar power levels, but not as reliably or with as much safety.

There is making power and then there is making power safely. The super modded LSA is the former, the LS9 the latter.

I was merely pointing out all the cars that were NOT the 2005 Mustang that started the retro craze before the 2005 mustang.
