He already addressed it in post # 3. I know a lot of you can't stand the fact that the be all to end all coyote 5.0 will not dominate the SS as was fabricated for the last few months, but it is what it is. I think from these various magazine tests, what we really have on our hands here is a drivers race between these two cars. Whoever can peddle their car off the line and shift faster, is going to be pulling ahead slightly.

So I have to go off either they tested the Blue GT at a different time or they selected which Stang they wanted to feature in the article and comparison.

No he didn't, he threw that test info in along with his wishful thinking that this testing was conducted on another day which was a ploy intended to skew said info. The problem? The article doesn't say that the car was tested on another say and frankly infers the opposite by omitting that little tidbit.

From one side to the other, after having read the reviews here, I think I can safely say the ball is in your teams court as far as universal appreciation goes.

To be blunt, I think that it would be relatively accurate to say that most Camaro owners I have known who disliked the Mustang disliked the car itself. Most Mustang owners I know have more issues with Camaro owners than with the cars.

Mustang lost in Edmunds with the 3.73 gears but all-season tires, and the Brembo equipped 3.73 was never tested against the SS by Edmunds. In fact, EV1L TWIN seems to know A LOT about it:

On a more serious note, the blue car edmunds ran was tested out at the same location 7 days prior in WARMER weather (DA of 3577 vs. 2884).

There are still too many variables that make even this head to head #'s comparison directly to each other difficult. It's not like they were run at the same exact time.
* The camaro was well broken (14,813 vs. 2,172)
* The camaro was ran in slightly different/better weather (DA of 2676 vs 2884, which equates to ~.05 and ~.5 mph)
* The camaro had summer tires vs. all-seasons
* The camaro was shown to have done the runs with wind at 1.4 vs. 6.3 (it never states direction)

If we're going to compare times when the cars didn't run each other we should go with the SS' initial time: 13@110.9 MPH against the '11 GT's 13@110.6 MPH.

The original road test mustang ran the same exact time as the one they were referring to in the article (13.0 @ 110.6 maybe?). From my understanding of the reading this was the mustang they were referring to in the article. Not as being tested on the same day. THe original road test camaro ran a 13.0 as well...so Im not sure how that matters. I was just referring to what I see as the only two cars tested on the same day.

I am not trying to skew or falsify the informatioin in any way...that is the way i took the article and still do.
