My ride in high school was the white buick century in the background. Sold it after I got the black camaro in the foreground.

My first car my Jr. year was a 1961 Chevy Belair/4 door, I got a job and bought a 1965 Impala SS that I drove my senior year. That was back in 1975-76.

1984 Toyota Celica Hatchback. It was the ugliest POS you have ever seen. BUT.. I worked my arse off for it, 5.15 hour, all summer and all winter to get it and also pay the insurance in gas. So it was a love hate relationship... I was proud to have the car, but not really proud to brag about the car. Because I couldnt lol. Most of my more "privledged" friends were rolling around in new Tahoe's or BMW's.. But they didnt really appreciate them that much and most of them ended up wrecking them.

Lesson to be learned... my future children... you want a car by your senior year, you better get off your duff, work your tail off and get it yourself. Builds great character.

back in my day, when i went to & from school, i walked uphill both ways, barefoot through 5ft of snow. that was on the days it wasn't raining cats & dogs or hailing ice the size of horses.
