ugh

I have a brake problem with my car, namely I need to get the rear brakes and rotors replaced. I could spend ~$450 and get it replaced around here, or I could wait until I move out at the end of the month and save nearly $200 by going to my brothers shop back home. Unfortunately, my brakes could catastrophically fail on the ~2hr drive home. But they probably won't. Now, my broke ass has to decide if $200 is worth the risk. I know what I should do, but ...

Unless the risk involves all of your brake fluid leaking out of your back brakes, you'll be fine. Even if they fail you still have the fronts, and they do most of the braking anyway.

What's a life without risk?

That would be the catastrophic part

I know that the chances are low, and knowing the risk exists, I can mitigate it even further. BUT if things do go wrong they could go very very wrong (like crashing into a stopped car at ~70 mph). The chances of that are quite low, and could happen even if my brakes didn't have any known problem.

My stuff is still in my trunk.

The only part I unpacked was the leftover hard lemonade and my laptop.

Well, couldn't you detach the lines from the rear brakes and plug them? No rear brakes the entire time (careful braking around curves - LMFAO) but less worry about losing all your brake fluid.

ugh..... worked 3:30 pm to 3 am last night. got home at 3:30 am, slept till 8, got up and was back at work at 9 this morning and i'm STILL FREAKING HERE!!!!!?!?!#$!# ! ?!# The infuriating part is that all I was waiting on was a tech to unbox 3 hard drives, photo copy them, rebox and send us the photo copies. Then I find out 1 1/2 hours later that he got them locked in the vault and they can't get to them till monday. Coulda told me that an hour and half ago d$*(#%!
