Arrow 2010 Roush 427R vs. 2011 Roush 427R

So I know the 2010 427R is supercharged and rated at 435 bhp. But does anyone know if the 2011 427R is also gonna be supercharged or not?

Because I was talking to a guy from the Ford dealership in my area and he said the 2011 427R is probably not gonna be supercharged because the engine already will make 400+ bhp.

So any news about the 2011 Roush 427R? I'm thinking about selling my SS and getting the '10 Roush 427R because I can get it for let's just say a great price.

Quote:
“The 2011 Roush Stage 1 and Stage 2 Mustangs will represent an incredible value by blending appearance and handling with an amazing base Ford engine package,” Roush said in a release. “I expect that the 2011 Stage 1 and Stage 2 Roush Mustangs could come close to matching the performance of some Roushcharged Mustangs we have offered in prior model years, which will make them extremely exciting to drive and at a reasonable starting price point.”

Roushcharging, of course, involves installation of Roush’s roots-style supercharger. Plans are already underway to adapt the blower to the 2011 lineup for powertrain models such as the Roush 427R. The company’s release says engineering team is already hard at work developing the 2011 model year Roushcharger and determining what modifications can be done to the 5.0-Liter engine. Roush 2011 model year powertrain vehicles, however, are not likely to be available until late summer.
Looks like it will be a blown 5.0 though.

Why does the '11 matter if youre thinking about selling your camaro to pick up a '10 Roush?

ROUSH is working on a blower design for the 5.0 to add to the 427R.

Do you guys think it would be worth it if I could buy a 2010 Roush 427R with only 20 miles on it for 40k?

If it's worth it or not is up to you, base 427R's are going for $45,000+ right now, depending on options on the one your looking at it could be a really good deal.

If speed is your concern, you can get as fast or faster in a Camaro.

Forget which car is faster. Which one do you like more?
