Serious, serious weight reduction (like on semi-dedicated track cars) you'll find Challenger owners removing the extra seats, speakers, etc.

But I wouldnt be too quick with bashing Challengers for doing drastic weight reduction on their cars. There is a 2010 Mustang GT that is rolling around here (Southern Oregon) who is running without a rear seat.
Lets face it; all of our cars could stand to lose some weight.

That's the part I don't understand. The R/T and SRT models have very nice stock wheels. To spend several hundred bucks to replace nice wheels just to shave off around 20-30lbs to me is just not worth it.

Generally people who have enough money to drop 45k on an SRT are going to think a little differently than people who bought the 29k GT.

Thats not a bash on you personally, but in general the thought process is going to be a bit different. Like someone who owns an M3 and replaces the 3k stock wheels with 7k aftermarkets.

You and me both brother.

Realistically, I wonder how fast the SRT would be with a 500hp 6.4.....

If I recall correctly, it already has a traction issue.

I still don't see why they're even bothering putting in an engine that still wouldn't be in line with their competition.

Its clear that whoever were to buy that car would be doing it knowing they'd get raped by a GT500, or eventually the Z28.

Judging by how they sold people a 45k car with 420 hp, I believe they will do just fine.

Question...
Why does Chrysler not come out with a V6 Hemi? If a Hemi is so much better in a V8 shouldn't it hold true for a V6? then they could put Hemi Badges on All their cars and make much more money selling them "It's got a Hemi" stickers.....LOL

Isn't a lot of the engines that are created today technically Hemis? Last time I checked, Chrysler is just the only one who advertised it lol.

I think its the other way around... They aren't Hemi's and Chrysler is still the only one who feels the need to continue to advertise them as so lol
