My Xbox died...again!

Xbox Elite bought a few years ago now having a "red light" issue (NOT the red ring which I've had twice on previous Xbox's). Was kicking butt on Battlefield 2 when the picture turned pink, not solid pink but rather pink stripes. Either way one of the lights is flashing red so I reckon it's time to return yet another Xbox. Maybe I should go back to board games.

Repair your old 360 1-800-4MYXBOX for $25 (speak to a supervisor and get a discount) works all the time.

Sell your repaired Elite on Craigslist and keep your 120gb hard drive and put it on the new arcade

Man that sucks. I bought one for my daughter this year for chrismas. I'm starting to wish I didn't with all the problems I read about with them. Although she hasn't had any yet.

They really dont have that many problems Had mine since they first came out just had to add memory Play the s#*t out of mine love the XBOX360

That's good to hear. It just seems that I read about problems all the time. I hope your right. She really doesn't use it hard either.

I'm on my third 360. Now it sits and collects dust because I play my PS3 95% of the time. Never one problem with it either.

I am on my 3rd 360 as well since 2005, but I got a new one every time for free since they had the red ring of death. I do not mind as long as they fix it for free, I prefer xbox to any other system.

ahhh i bought mine over in the states .. got the ring of death .. so no guarantee.. and no1 to fix it.. over here they are all pal systems. Plus NTSC version games are too expensive here.

i bought a PS3 and use teh xbox as a doorstop...

I have had one 3 RRoD in the 3 years I've owned the xbox. Sent it in. 2 weeks later Ihad it fixed and a free month of xbl gold. I play it quite a bit.

Nick, if you don't use your 360, I'll take it off your hands, especially if it's got a hdd bigger than the 20gb on mine.

I bought my 360 on release day. Had 5 RROD's and am now on my 6th one (I got a jasper). I'm willing to bed I used to put more hours on my box than anyone else on here. I purchased a laptop fan from Wal-Mart for $25 that goes under ur 360 and plugs in the controller slot via a usb cable for power. My cousin did this when the problem first surfaced and still has his original 360, and has never sent it in. The problem was always with heat, and this appears to solve that problem quite well.

I still own the launch 20GB PS3, I've had zero problems and I use that thing pretty much every day for games, movie's and watching XVID's of TV shows. I might be lucky however my best friends 60GB PS3 is still kicking strong and he wated in line to get it on launch as well. I've heard so many red ring of death issue's with the 360 and it is the main reason for me never getting it.. That and the online aspect is free with the PS3..

I don't get this comment, PSN works great for me, I get mostly lag free games, etc. Whats the problem you say?
