Real Patriot's Day
Since American History is often overlooked in our Public Schools,
this is a reminder to our younger members (and maybe you older members too) that today, 235 years ago, the "Shot heard 'round the World" was fired on the Lexington Green in response to the British Crown's attempt to seize guns and munitions and to arrest Sam Adams and other Patriots. TODAY was the beginning of the American Revolution and the struggle that lead to the founding of our great country. Sic semper Tyrannis! Happy Patriots Day. Gaspee Days in Rhode Island (Cranston, Warwick) next month. Before the Boston Tea Party there was the burning of the Brittish ship HMS Gaspee.
