What was that movie preview in Tformers???
I am REALLY interested in what this movie is. For everyone who saw Transformers, there was a clip before the movie in previews about a guy getting ready to take off to Tokyo. His friends were throwing a going away party for him when suddenly, there was a loud screaching noise and the ground shook. They went up to the roof to check out what was going on. Power went out. On top of the roof, over the building skyline, they saw a HUGE ball of fire and heard more screaching. They run, everything starts blowing up, things being "thrown" through the air. They get to street level. The screaching is getting louder. More fire and the Statue of Liberties head is thrown, hits a building, and lands in the street by the going away party and tons of other patrons.
The only thing I can guess is that we are going to have another remake of the old Godzilla. I can only say that with the computer generated tecnology available these days, this could be one very well done flick. Do you guys have any thoughts on what this new movie could be? It should be relesed 01-18-08. |

Yea first thought was godzilla, but it could be anything nowadays. Some may not remember but back for Ghostbusters they had billboards with just the ghost crossed out and no title. Same type of deal, get people excited and big reveal later.

They are only calling it '1-18-08'
Release Date: January 18, 2008 Studio: Paramount Pictures Director: Matt Reeves Screenwriter: Drew Goddard Starring: Michael Stahl-David, Odet Jasmin, Mike Vogel, Lizzy Kaplan Genre: Not Available MPAA Rating: Not Available Official Website: 1-18-08.com Plot Summary: J.J. Abrams ("Star Trek," "Mission: Impossible III," "Lost," "Alias") produces this secret movie directed by Matt Reeves ("Felicity"). A teaser trailer for the movie is playing in theaters in front of "Transformers." www.1-18-08.com is the website. its got nothing, but kind of neat. --IMDB.com says "Revolves around a monster attack in New York as told from the point of view of a small group of people" --Some sites are calling it Cloverfield. --Some movie news websites are saying it is most likely based on the strange story, Cthulhu by H.P. Lovecraft --Some how the website http://www.slusho.jp/ is related to the movie. One site even goes into detail how it could be the season finale of Lost. I have never seen the show, so i can't offer any insight there. You can read that theory here http://jackwhispers.blogspot.com/200...t-1-18-08.html Will be interesting |

It's called bad robot I thought. It looks meh to me, reminds me of previews for blair witch. It'll take a lot to get me interested in that as I never had any interest in BWP.

Bad Robot is the production company of J.J. Abrahms. Bad Robot and he are who produce Lost. I'm a huge lost fan. Knowing that company's style, they're going to keep us hanging as long as possible, just feeding us bits and pieces to build our anticipation. I plan on being in the theater on 01-18-08 to see it.

I really think it's another Godzilla movie. Not a remake. If you remember the last Godzilla movie, Godzilla 2000 (or whatever it was called), after they killed Godzilla on that bridge, the one guy went back to the hive, and the last - missed - egg hatched: Another Godzilla. The movie kind of ended there. I think that this is the LONG awaited sequel. |

I hope not. Just gecause the last Godzilla sucked ass.
I REALLY enjoyed "Signs" because of the unique perspective the movie had...no idea what the world is doing, how the one mad scientist in the governmenet is devising a way to save the world...all we know about is a small family in the middle of nowhere Pennsylvania! I thought that was brilliant. I'd like to see another movie that offered that kind of theme. |

That said, this new preview caught my interest immediately. I'll definitely be seeing it. The Godzilla movie with the lone egg at the end was just titled 'Godzilla'. Godzilla 2000 was a Japanese movie in the same vein as the originals. And it was horrible. While I thought the Godzilla movie could have been better, I did like it (one of the few I know). I know very little about Chuthulu, but from what little I've heard/seen over the years, that would make an interesting movie. Also a big Lost fan here.

I just can't seem to think what else it could be besides Godzilla. I mean, the shreak is unmistakable that Godzilla makes. And the huge fireballs? Sure...to me it makes sense. Being honest, I'm kinda hoping it's some other sort of "attack" or something and not a big, unrealistic monster. But, the teaser sure was cool!

Okay, so the movie name is there, but still, What other fire-breathing, shrieking creature that just so happens to live under-water (Godzilla) is there?
