I hope it doesn't come down to that, I really like the Challenger and it's my backup car if I can't get the Camaro.

Does anyone notice how Chevy won in everthing pretty much and Dodge only seemed to win in the truck department. Regardless if they were better, which I don't think they are, Dodge should be docked for styling issues.

Silverado > Ram. Obviously.

Vue also has superior styling to the Patriot. No contest.

vette or viper - corvette hands down. given i've only driven C4s & C5s i'll go with almost every tester that compares the latest versions of the two. they give viper props for raw power & race car feel but for handling, every day driving, interior, price, & more they aways pick the corvette!

1. Cobalt

the nitro is not a good seller period, but its budget could help the cobalt beat the class leading hondas and toyotas.

2. G6

it looks better

3. g8 vs Charger

i see both cars getting built of a shared platform with different sheet metal

4. HHR vs PT cruiser

both could get cancelled i dont see thier appeal.

5. Patriot vs Vue
shared platform, the jeep name is too valuable to lose.

6. Traverse Journey
shared platforms

7. Tahoe....
kill the durango off

8. Silverado vs RAM
...shared platform

9. Colorado
kill the dakota...its hideous

10. Gotta say the wrangler
the hunmmer brand is up for sale, no way they keep both.

11. Camaro vs Challenger
Shared platform ( would be shared with the G8/charger platfom just like the camaro/g8 and charger/challenger platforms right now.)

12. Corvette
it shares bits with other cars such as drivetrain. also dodge was looking to sell the viper brand anyways.

Corvette= the most refined American sports car with 55 years behind it(and it's cheap...relatively)
Viper= Drunk guys from SRT putting an 8.0 litre monster in a lightweight car and calling it a day. Plus it's like 80,000 dollars now isn't it?

How was that the most difficult choice?
The closest I thought was between the Ram and Silverado

So is the merge really necessary? The only Chrysler product that I can see as complimenting GM's product line is their mini-van.

Scott's recent comment about not closing down certain GM brands goes totally against this merger move. For example, what would happen to all the unnecessary Chrysler dealerships after the merger?

GM wants Chrysler's cash reserve but do they also realize the cost associated with closing most of the company down?

Why would they keep any of their cars? Most likely they will slowly but surely chop Chrysler up into little pieces and sell it off.

The only thing I would take from Chrysler is anything that has SRT-10 on the back panel.
