What kinda TV you get?

A new house in 2 weeks sounds like a lotta work, build it or buy existing?

I work for a law enforcement agency, I don't work the street anymore however, I do "special" things. My dad also farms 2500 acres, so i help him with that.

I posted a pic of the tv I bought 2 pages back in this thread. It is a Samsung 55" LED.

We bought a house that was a short sale. The previous owner had let the house go in some areas. The house was built in 1985. So far we have had a new roof installed and we have put down the primer base coat on the interior. We will be putting two coats of paint on this weekend time permitting. After the painting is done we will have our new carpet and windows installed. (dual pane windows). We also have to go to Sears to purchase all of our kitchen appliances and washer/dryer and schedule it for delivery.

Do you like being off of the streets or do you find yourself getting bored now? I have a good friend that is an officer and he loves the excitement of the street but he also gets aggravated with some of the stupid people he has to deal with.

I got a LG 52" last year for my den. Wish I would've gotten a 60. i sit a little far away from it and it doesn't seem as big as I would've hoped.

I am sure you got a deal on your house. Painting really stinks. At least you are replacing the carpet so you can be a bit messy with the paint in spots. I would go with clean steel aplliances as opposed to stainless. Stainless shows every single fingerpirnt, etc and requires a lot of cleaning. Clean steel is less apt to do this and is about the same price.

I can work the street on a ot shift if I want to. I miss it some, but not all the time.

We did get a decent deal for our area and considering California's real estate prices. It's nothing big but enough for my fiance' and I. It is 1,460 sq ft and the lot is 6,800 sq ft. You are the third person who has advised me against SS apliances because that was want I was planning on purchasing. Everyone including you has told me the same thing. I'll look into the clean steel. Thanks for the input.

Yup. My parents made this mistake about 5 years agowhen they got SS. What a pain in the rear.

I am sure I know the answer to this, but CA real estate preices are psychotic right?

WEll....if they're driving, I don't think it's legal to use your cell.
That's a law here, though. Not that many obey it, it frustrates me because they have kids in their cars too!!
